Vanished into vortex
Anyone ever heard of AceNet? They came up through some site I was looking at about Atlantic City, always spend a few days of my early vacation out there and was gonna book a room for the third week in may and wanted to stay at the Borgata, EVERY place on the internet has rooms there for $129 a night except this AceNet place which has them for $89 a night. Anyone ever use this site? Could the hotel itself verify if it's legit? Honestly I would rather pay the extra $30 a night to be sure we have a room when we get there, though in May during the week another room should not be hard to find.

We usually use AAA to book vacations, how safe are these on-line places anyway?

Thanks for any help

never used acenet, but have used hotels.com , places to stay.com, & expedia, with no problems. last couple of times i've contacted the hotel direct and found them running specials at a much cheaper rate goodluck.

Acenet is legit

Acenet is legit

however, they are overcharging you. I found this out by using them on a trip to AC, it was explained to me upon check-in. Most places that use this service and others hotels, orbitz, expedia overcharge you for the room because they have to pay for their own internet fees as well. If you are booking a hotel just call them DIRECTLY to get the best rate.

Hope this helps,

I agree, just call on your cell to save the long distance charges and ask the hotel directly for any rooms available and tell them you want the weekend specials...I'm pretty sure you'll get the rooms for AT LEAST $20 off the $89 you were talking about. Best of luck...
