Honestly, it's been a coupla years since I handicapped much to speak of. Heading back into the fray with these for today. Going back to the basics and like the looks of these sides - best of luck to all on a day of some interesting matchups. Posting one reason for each, although I think there is more to like than just one. All plays equal.
Play of Day: Louisiana Tech +33.5
Mainly a play against the Bears covering the big number. Traditionally a terrible cover team in a flattish spot, especially recently. Louisiana Tech showed they are capable against a good Hawaii team last week. Plenty to like getting a ton of points.
The rest:
Florida -8
Not impressed with Tennessee QB, and the Vols in general lately. At this point, Gators just reloading talent, blue chippers replacing outgoing positions. Swamp will help.
Arkansas +4
Probably too jazzed about Hog's McFadden, who I think is an amazing talent. Don't figure Saban to have a team he WILL have in a year or two, and guessing it will take a few games to undue Shula's coaching.
Arizona State -28
I think the defensive front of ASU will hold down any point spread concerns in a cover. Looking for a big score here.
