someone should invent a device that goes in all cars, regardless of maker, and automatically and instantly turns of phones once they are inside of a car.


I drove by a fucking POLICEMAN using two hands to text while traveling about 60 MPH this morning on the hwy.....he literally almost cause an accident 30 feet behind me...once i got passed him, i lookin in rearview mirror and he swerved into other lane....


and i always see young people driving with their phones directly infront of their faces....


someone make it, you can have the money.....i just wanna feel safe...



if all phones automatically shut off, think of all the better and safer drivers there would be...


sorry just got home had to vent i was pissed the whole time driving home

We were saying the exact same thing last week! The phone should be disabled for all talking and texting, except for availability to call 911 in case of emergency.

Last week, a high school student here plowed through a bus stop on his way to school - injured 8 people and killed an 18 month old girl. It is still under investigation, but I will be surprised if texting isn't involved. Most people can't drive well in the first place, and then seeing them on the road texting is just ludicrous.

That invention already exists, it's called common fucking sense. People just choose not to use it.

We don't need more safety devices, we need smarter people in the world.
