For your age, I would put a heavy weighting on the small cap fund. Historically and long-term, it has and should perform better. It might be volatile, but you are dollar cost averaging, and that will take away much of the long-term volatility for you. I would do a 1/3 allocation between American Funds Growth, Small cap, and international.

Also, if you are in a 401k plan, they usually don't charge you the full load, or waive the load when investing...you may want to doublecheck that. If you will list who the 401k provider is, I can call them and find out if there are loads going into the funds.

I was going off of your posts, and I'm not a mind reader. I stick with my comments. Your post is laced with awful advice.

You should take my advice and read the book I mentioned. I don't pretend to be an expert, but your post reeks of ignorance.

Based on what you have posted, I don't think you have a grasp on the subject.....but that's just my opinion.
