Indiana is my biggest play of the weekend! Not because i do not think the Hawks are good, it is because Ferentz does not run the score up on anyone. The only team they have beat this year by this margin is Iowa State. I see Iowa winning 21-10.

I do not think Iowa deserves #4 in the BCS due to the fact I think better teams are behind them. I also think Iowa can win at OSU because there defense is very good and will cause Prior a lot of issues. If I am a Iowa fan I would be more worried about Indiana and NW then OSU. Especially this game because they are banged up. Starting RB is out, Wehger is banged up and that puts O'mera getting a lot of carries. Dace OL is out for the game and I also think Greenwood will be out, I do not have any word but from the looks of the injury it could be his collarbone.

Good luck to all but I love Indiana in this spot!

Based on Iowa's past history they wlil probalby not win out and in the bowl with those other teams 15 points. Its been fun to get to this point. A guy can dream
I have cashed on iowa most of this yr. I love the way they play, they remind me of the steelers! I think we owe it to them to play them as the favorites!

I SO WISH SEC WASNT AN AUTO BID TO BCS...

LOVE TO SEE (JUST TO UPSET THOSE "ENTITLED" CONFERENCES AND TEAMS (Usually with a loss) fight it out for #s 3 and #4 WHILE BOISE ST AND CINCI FIGHT IT OUT FOR CHAMPIONSHIP.... :142smilie :142smilie :142smilie

AND OF COURSE, I know that the above wish will never happen.... And I obviously am still bitter about UTAH not getting a chance last year.... Utah would have beaten FLA IMO...

And I know everyone is gonna say Im crazy, (JUST LIKE THEY DID WHEN I POSTED MY ML BETS AND 1st QTR, 1ST HALF, 2ND HALF, AND GAME BETS ON UTAH), saying ALA is gonna kill em and that Utah shouldnt be playing a team like ALA...

FLA was great, but at that time, that week, of that year, UTAH WAS MUCH BETTER... And I will NEVER KNOW. BECAUSE OF BULLSHIT Conference SCAMS. Just like I will never get to see PINK FLOYD LIVE....

Not sure why I am bringing this hashed out chit again... Just way trashed, (been celebrating my great week of $$$$$), and its an issue I havent completely worked through... (And I like getting shit from the BCS "Entitled Teams" people on how they have played such higher caliber opponents on their schedule and they deserve THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME and blah blah blah .)

The two times UTAH was given a chance to play in the big BCS bowl games THEY PUNISHED whatever opponent THE BCS GAVE THEM... The 2nd best of the best, I guess.... Shit, Im rambling.

Anyways, Im blah blah blahing now.

Well written, Sooners25. Reads as if someone has ACTUALLY followed the Hawkeyes this season.
Greenwwod and Sandeman are on this weeks' depth chart; doesn't necessarily mean they will play, however.
Agree you'd have to be nuts to lay the 17-17.5 this week with Iowa. Ferentz and his coaching staff do not run the score up on anyone--they play with a 1 point lead like they are up 21. Get a lead and let the defense do its thing. Indiana this week is my worry; get by them and I feel the pressure that comes with playing well after a big, emotional win on the road is off. You also get to stay home before playing NW; only problem there is the potential to look ahead to the Ohio State game the next week. This team doesn't seem to let anything bother them, though, and seems to take each week as it comes.

Paki O'meara getting a lot of carries?? :scared

a team that could effectively run the ball & play good defense is usually a good bet in the bowls...

Thats the thing with this Iowa team, Al. They really haven't been very effective in running the ball this season. And that is very unlike an Iowa team under Ferentz. Its just one of the those magical seasons where everything goes your way--

blocking not 1, but 2 FG tries at the end of the UNI game?
scoring on the last play of the game last week?

--and its been a lot of fun being a Hawkeye fan this season. Will it lead to a National Title game? We will all find out in a few weeks, won't we?

GO HAWKS!
