Iowa St/boise St Off The Board?

I have a personal rule that I try to always abide by and that is: When Boise St. is playing on that smurf turf, I look for a reason to play them, and if I can't find one...I pass. I NEVER play against them on that crazy psychedelic field....

As for the homefield advantage, the Broncos probably have a bigger than normal home field edge, as that smurf turf can be very tough for a visiting team to get used to, and they are 20-4 ATS on this field since the middle of the ?99 season (including 2-0 in bowl games). However, home favorites of 7 points or more are now just 2-6 ATS in bowl games since 1980 (including Hawaii?s loss) and Iowa State has something to prove after their horrible finish to the regular season.... Methinks that I'll take a pass on this one.... :D

Ok it seem more weather related then anything else. Wet and more rain could fall. Passing will be affected. Winds at 20 to 25 steady with gust 30 or more expected. No suspensions mentioned in pre game show. ndnfan you are right but one thing. B St against the bigger conferances ATS record not so strong.

djv....I will say this about the weather as well. Usually I think bad weather tends to tighten a game up to a degree, and the snow and possible rain may do that in this one, but as far as the wind goes....I've seen Boise play a few games in very windy conditions this past season, and it's almost as if it didn't affect them one bit....it didn't stop them from throwing the ball and it didn't stop them from completing them for big plays either.

We'll see...it's just about gametime!

The total is all over the place now so I'll use UNDER 65.5 since that is where my action is:
In 13 games this year, ISU has been under the total 8/13 times. since the Troy St game 9/21, ISU has gone under the total of 65.5 7/9 times.
Boise St has been under the total of 65.5 in their last five games.

I think ISU slows it down to keep the Boise offense off the field. Weather can work both ways.. let's not forget the clemson vs boise st score last year in this bowl in partial blizzard conditions or the miami vs buffalo game this year where the scoreboard was rung up. I ffeel rain and snow are favrable to offense and heavy wind ( which we have) helps the D
