So much for the offensive shoot-out. Petey has the Trojans on overdrive. One, two, three, and a cloud of dust. Hopefully Iowa can do something with the pigskin besides turn it over...or punt.

It doesn't take 5 seconds to run a friggin' one yard run up the gut. Why not try it. You've got a time out left. Bust it up the gut. A pussy call from Iowa's side. Then blow the field goal with a bad snap from center. This game blows. I'm going to watch Nic at Night instead.

so far the game is working out nicely for myself. usc and HUGE on the under. didn't turn the game on until 12.26 left 1st quarter, thought i was going to shit my pants. USC is proving that their D is why they are ranked so high this year. Iowa's D ain't bad either. If I were Carroll, I would run on first and second downs , THEN THROW ON THIRD. He's becoming to predictable in this first half. I bet on USC several times this year, they tend to do just this in the 1st half of games, then blow people out in the second.

i foresee a 27-20 FINAL.

peace out and gl to all!!

Sure am glad that Pete Carroll is the USC head dumbass. Any real coach, and Iowa would be behind right now. Iowa's defense was dragging a bit there at the end of the half, hope the long halftime show will give them a chance to get their wind back-- and that Bob Sanders can play. Tough break there at the end of the half for Iowa-- I would have given the ball to Cervantes on 1st down and if he didn't get in, I'd have run him again.....

another missed FG, man these guys suck ass!
Honestly, what is so hard about executing a fg????
FG kickers are the biggest LOSERES!!!!

lol@loseres. I hate the USC kicker, he has cost them all year.
Carroll is really playing this game not to lose, when with a little aggression they could easily be ahead.

****ing bummer about Palamalu, the guy is fun to watch when he is healthy, which has been not at all this year.

exactly...you have 10 seconds on the one yard line....1 time out...you run once call a quick time out and you may have a shot at another pass play......so cal is controlling the game but a large part of that is due to the penalty disparity(9-2)...if that continues, this will be over quickly...

Very conservative play calling by Chow. I don't think you will see SC trying to grind it out during the second half. I think they will do short drop backs and rolls with Palmer occasionally going deep. The loss of Palomalu hasn't helped; if he is back in the second half it will be a big lift for SC.

i know a 1 yd run up the gut would hve been nice but the receiver was open, make the pass and it's a touchdown. the thing that is killing the hawkeyes is penalties. cut those out and they win the game. 2 times at the 2 yd line and 15 yds in penalties when they get there.

go hawkeyes in the 2nd half

OUCH :( :( ....... but i am NOT giving up on the Hawks yet...... you are right TTM penalties are killing them, and combined with the fact that they just look FLAT compared to every other game this year, they really need to get it together.

I know I am on the wrong side of this bet. But damn if I can see a hold then why can't the freaking refs see one. :D

Plamer just went to his left and threw for 31 and the offensive tackle had two and half handfuls of Iowa defense wrapped up tighter than one of my famous losing wagers. :D

The USC running game has turned this baby around in the 2H. Fargas and McCullough finding the lanes, the OL making the holes. In the 1H, Iowa was generating the rushing yards, but in the 2H the Trojans have outgained them by over 100 yards on the ground!

USC defense agressive, Banks getting nowhere near his intended targets.

USC with twice as many total yards midway thru the 4th quarter! Who da thunk it at the end of the 1H?

Does Banks have a broken hand? Reminds me a lot of Kurt Warner before he finally got on the disabled list the second time. He's not even close.
