iPhone Question

Have had a Blackberry for years, but it has shit the bed and I am out from under my contract and would like to try the iphone. A few questions......

1- Is there any reason to get a 4s instead of the 4 for a very basic user such as myself?

2- Does anyone see a noticeable difference between at&t and verizon. Leaving fuking sprint, they can rot.

3- Does anyone use theirs as a hotspot, how does it perform?

4- Anything else you wish you would have known before getting yours?

i love my 4s iphone. never had the previous one so cant compare.

i have verizon and hate their customer service. If i wasnt bound to the contract i'd leave now.

If you want to use a hotspot, I think you need to have a 4 series, you can do it with a 3 but it has to be modified! I have used my friend's 4 as a hotspot and there was just a minor delay for regular web surfing! I have a 3 something and absolutely love it. I am definitely going to try the 4 next time,

I like you had a blackberry before and I could not live without an iPhone. When you do get your iPhone, get the forum runner app and search Madjacksports. You have easy access all the time.

We use AT&T here cause all the towers are AT&T. Verizon sucks here and I don't even think sprit is an option in the north woods

I like my 3GS much better than my wife's 4. Much more durable, signal is better on the 3gs also. I have AT&T and can't wait to switch to Verizon. I have never tried to use my phone as a hotspot, so I cant offer any help on that. The iPhone is great, I definitely recommend it.

My Iphone4 has a much better signal then my employees 3GS

Plan on getting the 4S for the wife for Christmas!

Overall spend the extra $ and get the 4S for the extra features!!

Never know when you might need them!!

To me the only reasons anyone would get an iPhone over one of the new Droid based phones is if they are not very tech savvy and need a basic phone, or they don't know any better and just get it because everyone else has one. The new droid phones offer soooo many more features, can be more customized, and have 4g speeds. I think most people don't realize that iPhones are still running in the dark ages on 3g speed. If you are in an LTE area then you would really be missing out.

I have the 3GS and am completely happy with it. No complaints. I have AT&T and the signal blows ass most of the time. I had 1 bar in my house and kept dropping calls when I first got it. Complained to AT&T and they gave me a free in home cell tower that connects to the internet and boosts my signal to full bars.

However, I am strongly considering switching to Verizon once my contract is up.

I have the free forum runner app and can surf the Madjacks forum wherever I am!!! Only complaint on the app is that it shows the last person who posted in a thread and not the thread starter, but that is a minor inconvenience overall.

I paid for mine. Don't recall if it was .99 or 1.99 but it was the only option offered when i went to madjacks for the first time on my iphone.
