IPod Touch Question...

I'm getting my son the 16gb for Christmas...what is the difference between the first and second generation?

Thanks for any info and tips as to which one I should buy.

Get the 2nd generation, the first doesn't have a speaker. Although, the 1st has a headphone plug in.

Get the second generation if you can afford it. The extras are worth the price. I have the iPhone, which I love.

Also, make sure you buy a cover. I have this one:

You can get them on eBay for under $15. I've never dropped it, but I'm sure the cover would help if I ever did.
