lets face it...the cat`s out of the bag....pandora`s box is open.....
it`s just a matter of time....the europeans are doing what they do best....nothing....with the exception of tony blair...
the u.n. is a joke....corrupt...scandal ridden...
we fell asleep on n.korea...clinton had treaties....they weren`t worth the paper they were written on...not blaming clinton...but,diplomacy is useless in today`s world...
just as any treaties with iran will be worthless......they`ll secretly do their dirty deeds....
we couldn`t figure out what saddam did or didn`t have....we won`t be able to figure out what`s going on in iran.....it`s an impossible task....
the only ones that seem to be able to do anything are the israeli`s...and we can`t continue to count on them bombing any budding reactors in iran...the reports are that there are to many potential targets to be able to strategicallly eradicate the problem....
we made a mistake in iraq.....we tried to do the right thing based on bad intelligence...
make no mistake,though...it really doesn`t matter....from a global point of view....
there aren`t enough american, british and israeli fingers to fill all the holes in this dike....
i hope that some that hate us and bush and the war realize that they felt something had to be done....
but,it really didn`t matter if saddam had tons of nukes....he would have been just the tip of the iceberg.....maybe the most volatile.......still,as we now know, just one of several unstable players in this scary scenario...international russian roulette...every time you turn around there`s another bullet in the chamber...
i fully expect us to eventually get hit inside our borders with something catastrophic....and i fully expect israel to get hit....hopefully it doesn`t set off a full scale nuclear war in the middle east....
crippling the world`s energy supply and it`s economy...
possibly starting ww3....
that sounds terribly negative....but totally plausible...more likely to happen than not...imo
i`m glad i`m not a young kid growing up in today`s world...
and btw...dan...wait until you can`t get the oil...the gas the textiles that we need to exist....
i can`t think of many other things that are more necessary to the well being of this country and it`s economy....it`s utter survival...may be the single most compelling reason to have a war,imo.....other than security...
of course we need alternative energy sources....but,realistically,think of the logistical ramifications of some sort of conversion even if there were such a source...
mind boggling...
