freaking idiots are saying the the shuttle breaking up is gods way of punishing the US.

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Immediate popular reaction in Baghdad on Saturday to the loss of the U.S. space shuttle Columbia and its seven-member crew -- including the first Israeli in space -- was that its was God's retribution on Americans.

"We are happy that it broke up," government employee Abdul Jabbar al-Quraishi said.

I hope that Fu**** gets killed first if Iraq is attacked....

It's true they dont like us much. But they really meant they were so very happy that a person from Israeli was dead. He is the pilot that led the raid on Iraqs nuke plant about 14 years ago. They hated him with a passion.

ultimately, citizens are responsible for their leader's actions.....if Iraq people had any nuts they would rise up and topple Hussein....

with this in mind, and the fact that they cheer our deaths and would like nothing more than to carry you and i dead bodies in the streets and mutilate us.....i say time to unhitch the bomb

and that is THE bomb

Dr. Freeze, I am ALMOST with you on unhitching the big one, except I think we all realize that the people of Iraq follow Hussien out of fear for their lives and those of their families. When people say he has no respect for human life, they toss it around almost cliche like, and that is sad because this monster really does have no respect for any life. When one of his advisors before suggested it may be in the countries best interest that he step down from power Hussein had him cut into pieces, put in a bag and delivered to his (now) widow and her children. He gets the educated people to work on his nuclear and weapons program by torturing their children in front of them until they agree. He publicy admits to these tactics as to keep people in fear and in turn loyal to him. Do we nuke the innocent to erradicate this scum? Well, I am glad I don't make that decision. If we had a team of specialists that could end this with one bullet to his heart then I would say God have mercy on his soul because we are done with him here, unfortunatly it will not be that easy, so we must seek altrnative methods, popular or otherwise with the uneducated protesting "stars" in this country.

Unhitch the big one?

Ya I know that fealing go BANG. But with all that oil it could destroy it would hurt us all to bad. Were counting on some of that here when all is on the up and up. The whole world would suffer. Our gas prices would reach 2 bucks and heating oil at least another up 30/40 cents. So it wont happen. But!

Personally I'd love to see tapes of Muslims celebrating. Then when France, Bezerkly, etc., get on their high horse about us angering/provoking them or whatever we could run the tape. They could give a F**K less about anyone else. Racial profiling, Being Politically Correct, They Drew First Blood

why drop a nuke...when we can drop an atom bomb?....this would be far less destructive and there would be a much lesser degree of initiating an all out full scale Nuke war...in the long run it would save lives ...im sick of tired of having to deal with these "rougue" countries and thier leaders....maybe this would give a wake up to the world that we arent just going to put sanctions on your country and try and disarm you...give me a break it hasnt worked to date with iraq and its not going to work in the future.....the biggets mistake we made as a nation was not taking this country over during desert storm...

i say atom bomb it...and then marshall plan it ...much like japan

Conventional means will do the job. While I initially thought they should have went in all ready and been done with it, I will have to admit the movies stars, protesters, left coast ect have changed my mind.
I now think Bush should wait--------
and give all those who want to be a human shield an opportunity to get settled in place first.
I'll spring for the airfair for Jesse and Jane Fonda personally if they could manage the courage to walk the walk of the talk they talk, fat chance.

Cooz3 I agree with your line of thinking, this time however I think we have a president in office who just may be willing make an example (as well as a parking lot) out if this tyrant and his country. I am not and will never be in favor of a nuclear attack, I am not even in favor of war, BUT I understand that there are times it is necessary for the "greater good" as they say. Hiroshima was a horrible page in American history as far as I am concerned, however it took a long time after that before some jack-off though he could fu*k with us didn't it? Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.:nono:

HEHEHEHEHEHE, I am more than willing to go in halfers with ya on those tickets. Talk is cheap when all you are making is a political statement. These A-holes don't even have to go that far in my opinion, I would just like them to appear in front of our troops over-seas like Bob Hope and others do, and explain their reasoning for the protests, that would be a pay-per-view event in my house.

Not trying to stir up a hornet's nest; but us journos like to make sure we have both sides of a story...sometimes...;) SPACE-SHUTTLE-IRAQ-D.L
IRAQIS THANK ``GOD ALMIGHTY'' FOR DEATH OF ISRAELI ASTRONA
Baghdad, Feb 2 AFP - Iraqis expressed regret today at the US space shuttle disaster, but thanked ``God Almighty'' that the dead included an Israeli astronaut who was a fighter pilot in the 1981 air raid which destroyed their country's embryonic nuclear reactor.
``I thank God Almighty for avenging my country,'' said primary school teacher Ata Ahmad, while looking up and raising his two forefingers in the air.
``I still remember the day when he bombed our country in a hateful crime against Iraq and the Arabs,'' said Ahmad, a pensioner sitting at the 120-year-old al-Zahawi cafe in central Baghdad.
The space shuttle Columbia, which was transporting crew members back to earth at the end of a 16-day mission, disappeared from NASA screens yesterday as it turned into a fireball shortly before it was due to land in Florida.
Colonel Ilan Ramon, the first Israeli in space, was one of the seven astronauts who died in the tragedy.
Ramon, who was the payload specialist on Columbia's scientific mission, was a fighter pilot in the Israeli air force who fought in the 1982 Israeli invasion of Lebanon.
But in Baghdad most people remember him for taking part in Israel's air raid on their country's embryonic nuclear reactor at Osirak, or Tammuz for the Iraqis, in a strike meant to abort Iraq's alleged quest for nuclear weapons.
``Everybody first thought it was Iran because we were at war back then, but a military spokesman later said on the radio it was Israel,'' Abdel Karim Shaker recalled as he sipped Iraqi dark tea at the cafe.
``Tammuz, which was for peaceful objectives, was our pride. We were the only Arab country to be so advanced,'' said Shaker.
``The Zionists and the American administration do not allow any Arab country to be a threat to the state of Israel,'' he said, triggering approving nods from other men overhearing the conversation.
Shaker expressed anger at the fact that ``Israel is allowed to have all the nuclear reactors and weapons that it desires, while Iraq and any other Arab country are forbidden from doing so.''
UN inspectors in charge of ridding Iraq of its alleged weapons of mass destruction resumed their operations in the country last November 27 after a four-year break.
Jaafar Baqer, a retired radiologist, explained: ``The enemies of Iraq did not only destroy Tammuz, they also assassinated a number of our most brilliant scientists.''
Two younger men at the cafe, traditionally frequented by an all-male clientele, interrupted a seemingly intense backgammon game to take part in the conversation.
``We are saddened by the news because this is a loss for science and humanity. We also feel with the American people, we have nothing against them. We only hate their president because he wants to harm us,'' said Abu Nour.
President George W Bush has threatened military action against the regime of Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein on the grounds that it is developing weapons of mass destruction.
``The raid on Tammuz was not just a political or military strike, it was a clear attempt to harm Iraq's capabilities. It was an attack on our civilisation,'' said Salah, a university student.
``This is why we feel that the accident is a gift from God. They hit our scientific programmes and now God has avenged us. We are just relieved at this scientific loss for the Zionists,'' he added.
