It doesn't matter what the United States does anymore, You fricken bashers would Condemn the U.S.A. for sitting on its Rich ASS if we took a back seat and watched the rest of the world battle terrorism, poverty,etc.......
I really wish we would just close up the Global Piggy Bank that everybody puts their greedy little paws into and just watch all you other GREAT NATIONS try to SOLVE the worlds problems!

GOD HELP US THEN!

you learn alot when your overseas ;)

but not worth speaking my mind - cuz its not worth my time - hard to find opened minded ppl sometimes

9. North Korea is more of a direct threat to peace on earth than Iraq ever was, yet me do nothing

Every camp that I had to go to (translating purposes) - every single soldier agreed with that...they didnt at first, but the last 2.5 months they sure did.

When you have soldiers questioning WHY...then you know something is fishy - cuz we as soldiers are trained to do as we are told, no if ands or buts about it.

whats the old saying by the drill seargeants...

I say Jump - You say how high?

Everybody here thinks the ppl in Iraq are happy cuz Saddam is gone??? HAHAHA Just more Fox, CNN, MSNBC bullshit being feed into your brains. Captivity is not a good thing...:nono: - I think they would rather have Saddam back

Omar, save yourself time and frustration my friend.

Thanks again for your service in a miserable situation, glad you came home safe.

Funny how everyone now that there is no wmd, are all hysterical about couple hundred mass graves. Don't remember hearing all this sympathy with the 10' s of millions slaughtered in Africa:shrug:

guess no oil in Rwanda:(

hey hellah 10

Missed posting my thanks for your service in an earlier thread and I didn't want to miss this chance. Thanks much. At least you missed the annual sweat festival this summer in Toledo huh? Have things changed at all in Toledo or are they still in their 6th year of a 4 month refurbishment on Alexis?

LMAO  :lol2:

actually, I try to avoid Alexis, Lasky, Tramansville (5 points area) - the traffic there is brutal for a small city.

There is however the biggest construction project in Ohio ODOT history...they are redoing I-280 widening it up, connecting directly to I-75 and building a bridge....here`s a helpful website :)

I-280 construction

By the way H10 Thank-You for your service

Like I said , Screw the rest of the ungrateful World, let's get the hell out of S Korea, Germany, Iraq, Afgh, Israel etc monetarily and militarily..Secure our borders, and let these pinheads kill each other.
I really believed the Iraqi people would see the light beyond Saddam, well if you are correct H-10 then we should have learned our final lesson in helping the world, NO MORE!

If terrorism hits our Country let it be known to ALL Nations that when we find out who and where the retaliation will be swift and precise(ala Israel), NO OCCUPATION, NO LOOKING BACK. YOU will not take care of the Garbage in your country that violates our security and Freedom then the consequences of the retaliation will be on your ASS. WHAT, they going to hate us MORE than they already do, not a chance and who gives a Fk.

"...the biggest construction project in Ohio ODOT history..."

I'm practically sweating in standstill traffic here at my computer just thinking about it. We can only hope they'll be as lightning quick as they were on 75 a few years ago. Anyways....thanks for the time in our armed services and good luck!!

Rudy,

Since you like to use the use word badguy's alot (cleaning them up) wouldn't you agree that Fidel Castro is one of the baddest in modern history? Why didn't we take him out first, he is closer therefore a more direct threat, but sugar cane and tobacco don't quite bring the $$ that oil does. No matter how anyone spins this, going into Iraq with no grand scale plans was a bonehead move, GW rushed into the fray because of daddy and oil. Since no weapons of mass destruction will be found the current spin is to justify going into Iraq because of cruelty (mass graves) but how many mass graves do you think we would uncover in Central America or Eastern Africa? We wont because there are no resources there. Bottom line is if it's about direct threats to the USA then North Korea is more of a threat, if it's about cruel dictators look no further than Cuba.

Those mass graves from the Iran war and the war aginst the Kurds. All by Iraq back in late 80's and early 90's and we did nothing. I guess 12/13 years late is better then nothing. The center of terror we were told was Afghaistan. How the hell it get to Iraq. By the way where is Bin and why did we not finish the job in Afghaistan. We need some good answers now the spin and BS has to stop. 87 Billion to save proffits for the oil world. Thats some more BS.

I agree - we need to clean our house! Clean up the states allready. I went to Detroit today - and it looks WORSE then when I left it before...my god! How about cleaning up Lake Erie?!?! How about giving these cities like Atlanta, La, NYC, Detroit, The Lou more money to hire more cops.

I stopped questioning everything I believed in cuz I just realize when I was over there - that nothing will happen unless there was some sort of revolution - and well, I dont see that happening unless the Dow Jones goes to like 1000 and people will freak out cuz they are broke...

I just wanna say 1 thing to everybody...

I love democracy, I think its a good thing...but who are we(USA) to say that democracy is the right thing in this world? That doesnt sound much of a democracy when we are telling other countries how to run their own country....

time for MNF....:)

Are you looking for an apartment or house to rent??

Maumee is actaully srrounded by the "good parts" of Toledo - the non-ghetto parts.

West of Maumee is basically farm land and will take you to the airport...

North of Maumee will take you to West Toledo where there is the University, tons of resturants, clubs, the turnpike, lots of services for your needs..

East of Maumee you could go over the river into Perrysburgh(rich town...well so is maumee) or dont cross the river and go into Toledo where you`ll run into a nice park and a Zoo...beyond the zoo kinda gets ghetto...

South of Maumee basically is nothing....you can hop on I-75 and it`ll take you wherever :)

You`ll like Maumee - trust me :)

Boys, I keep asking the question: What would YOU DO to eliminate the threat. From the non-answers I'm seeing, am I to infer that you would not attempt to eliminate the radical Islamist threat? This threat has NOTHING to do with Castro or N. Korea.

Omar, I'm ashamed of you despite your service, for which you receive well-deserved thanks. To suggest that the Iraqis might be better of under Saddam is at best shortsighted. You've seen firsthand the desolate conditions under which these people have lived for so long and how the only rule of law has been thuggery.

We are rebuilding a civilized society there almost from scratch and you know we won't stop until mission accomplished. Yes, it's chaotic presently because of the remaining Baathists and saboteurs that need to be filtered out, but that's achievable in time.

Things changed when these despots started attacking us on our home turf. We can't just sit back and absorb hit after hit. Iraq was a good start.

Again, I ask the question: What would YOU DO to eliminate the threat?
