Play calling is pathetic, I am from Tennessee and it is bringing back bad memories of this year. If your quarterback is such a stud then throw the ****** ball

Win or lose the past two weeks this team was locked into the Liberty Bowl -- and I guess the conference title didn't mean much. I think the USC game was the be all and end all of their season.

I admit, I went with the public, but thought Fresno would atleast make an effort to win. Makes you wonder how they gave the old mighty USC a game doesn't it.

So can someone explain to me why USC had such a difficult time beating this team @ home that LA TECH is man-handling on the road.....this was a big quality W for USC according to some on this board & for the life of me I cant see it.

I may be a homer, but Texas would destroy this Fresno team

You have understand Fresno St. plays BCS opponents tough but repeatedly struggles in conf. play. Fresno St. has been a good program with Pat Hill but he has not won the WAC. FSU puts too much stock in their brutal OOC schedule. IMO that is a good thing. Beating USC in OOC means 10x more for the program than winning the WAC.

This year FSU finally got what they were begging for 10 years for. A shot at USC. Pat Hill has been begging USC for 10 years to play and this was his year. The game against USC was the biggest game in history of the FSU program. It was just another home game for USC. FSU came close to pulling off the upset. FSU played great and threw everything they had at USC.

You see the turnovers tonight by FSU? Nothing new. They had the same turnovers against USC. In fact, USC got screwed. Fresno St. fumbled 3 times in the 1h against USC and recovered all 3 fumbles. 1 of the fumbles went for a TD on goaline.

Take away the FSU turnovers tonight and FSU is prob. winning by double digits.

So what was the turnover totals in that game?

Nevermind I looked it up myself.

USC was a +4 in turnovers that game @ home, & yet still they only beat them by 8 & if memory serves FSU was STILL driving for a possible game tying TD in the closing moments b4 throwing a 4th INT.

Not very impressive @ all.

Answer this question honestly. If Fresno was -4 TO ratio in a game in Austin vs Texas would Texas not win that game by at least 21. Does this necessarily mean much, no, but nonetheless something to think about.....

USC scored 50pts on Fresno St.

USC had 508 total yards offense vs Fresno St.

USC had 10 offensive possesions and scored on 9 of them. USC scored pts on 90% of their drives!USC didn't score on their first possesion because Dwane Jarret dropped a TD pass.

I am glad you are all over Texas! Says a lot! :banghead:

Yep & they still hung 42 on your D, despite giving USC not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, BUT 5 TURNOVERS!!!! WoW. :scared

So. Cal
blah
blah
blah

that sc game was the super bowl for fresneck while sc was sleepwalking until they determined they needed to play......call it what you want...arrogance, boredom, uninterested, flat....but it's been there this year.

if you read all of scotts posts the one thing he is wrong about on sc is they "never come out flat"

oregon
asu
az
fresneck
uw (flat for the 1st quarter)

all games they were totally flat to start the game on at least one side of the ball (and usually both sides)

Not very impressive @ all.

What you fail to realize is FSU had ZERO turnovers in the 1h and USC D forced 3 fumbles by FSU and FSU recovered all 3. DAMN LUCKY! FSU had an 8pt halftime lead that USC had to overcome. USC outscored FSU in 3q 28-7. FSU had 2 scoring drives in the 2h that started out at the USC 28 and USC 15 yard line. Not bad defense. BAD SPECIAL TEAMS! That was clearly the difference in this ball game. If UCLA doesn't turn the ball over and USC special teams plays as poorly as they did against FSU, UCLA has shot to beat USC.

Answer this question honestly. If Fresno was -4 TO ratio in a game in Austin vs Texas would Texas not win that game by at least 21.

If Texas was +4 tunovers @Austin vs Fresno St., I would guess Texas wins by 30pts. Read what I wrote above. FSU turnovers happened in the 2h against USC. If the turnovers happen in 1h, USC prob. wins by 30+. Just the way the game went and USC special teams kept FSU hanging around for potential upset. Those are the facts. That is why Pete Carroll isn't worried one bit about his defense. USC defense didn't play well and USC didn't coach well, but they did not play poorly like many think. That easily happens against teams like Fresno St. who is geeked up to play. Look at FSU in OOC and FSU in conf. games. They clearly put all their emphasis in OOC and USC was the biggest game in the history of FSU program.

Does this necessarily mean much, no, but nonetheless something to think about.....

If USC is -4 in turnover ratio vs Texas, I think Texas easily wins by double digits. Of course I would think Texas beats FSU by 21+ pts.
