Im probably gonna vote for Kerry and I have watched both Conventions so far and both have there ups and downs, but is it just me or has most of the Republican Convention been about 80% bashing Kerry, 5% on terrorism, 5% on 9/11 and 10% about the economy. I would just like to hear what Bush has in store for the future for us. Am I going to have any Social Security?? Health Benefits??? Taxes?? any of that. the bashing is preety funny from both sides, but man it just seems like the republicans are more worried about their opponent than what their platform is.

If they only focused on their accomplishments or their ideas for the next 4 years, this convention would have to be shortened to 8 seconds.

I wouldn't call it Kerry bashing I would say they seemed to think it as important to let folks know about Kerry's voting record past 20 years as Kerry did to omit saying anything about it at DNC.;)

Well, Bush hasn't exactly set the world on fire (except in the most literal sense), but the democrats hardly spent any time at all bashing him, or 'telling it like it is', if you will.

9 most dangerous words in the English language:

I'm from the government, and I'm here to help

hopefully we hear this less from the conservative party than the liberal one.....

corporations feed us, clothe us, build us cars, provide us with jobs, give us investment opportunities, give philantropically -- build hospitals, pay for research -- advance science

and do these things wtih accountability

what an evil setup we have here

we should abolish it all and go to socialism!!!

how do they do that?

if you invest, you should do your research...

if you get a job, you should remain marketable in case you lose that job

in America we believe in PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY and because you have the FREEDOM to pursue financial interests, you should take responsibility in their outcomes

not sure how you get screwed on health care by a corporation?

enlighten me

so its his responsibility that his bosses screwed up??

to me...all corporate america cares about is the stockholder

all those companies care about is making money for themselves. I used to work for Lucent Technologies, i would know?? All of our previous bosses who were ousted got several million dollar payouts and we did work for some goverment crap here in chicago and after that we were ousted. they only care about themselves, not their customers or employee's...

sooner or later, we are going to live in a town either called Nike or Ford, or Viagra. Crap for christ sakes, the other Day in chicago, in one of their nice Parks they have, they painted a big Nike logo in the field. unreal...

hey when a small business fails because of criminal activity the same thing happens.....

does this make you against small business?

or are you only against "corporations" because it is your narrow-minded buzzword

Corporate America, without government restrictions, has done the following:

Permitted banks and financial institutions to charge upwards of 30% interest on credit card purchases;

Permitted, in essence, monopolies to form in the banking industry (notice the number of banks shrinking in your respective cities) as well as the media (ie. clear channells dominance and control of markets);

Sent American jobs overseas to increase profits and lower labor costs;

Permits the insurance companies to practice medicine by dictating to medical care provider which procedures, tests, and other practices will be paid for;

Has purchased government officials through lobbyists to ease foreign restrictions on overseas business (ie. Clinton and the banana tariffs);

Has destroyed America's reputation in the world by forcing its way into countries where it is not wanted in order to expand sales;

Enron, Tyco, Halliburton, etc.

This country is now run by corporate America. As stated above, its only interest is the bottom line, shareholder satisfaction and more profits. It could care less about the future of this country.

You can thank President Bush for the foregoing. If not creating the environment, then enhancing it. Despite the fact that he directed the deaths of some 25,000 + people, the foregoing economic reasons alone are sufficent reasons to indict him.

If you aren't shocked, you are not paying attention.
