I really thought that after Carmelo received a 15 game suspension for sucker slapping Mardy Collins and numerous other players were suspended for a minimum of 4 games that the league would really make an example out of a 2nd incident.
Garnett only receiving a 1 game suspension is very surprising to me.
IMO Garnett instigated the incident w/ McDyess by throwing the ball @ him and then throwing punches. Did I not see that correctly? He threw 2 punches and the ball @ a player and only gets a 1 game suspension?
Perhaps this is the viewpoint of a Nuggets fan talking here, but I really thought KG was going to get a pretty stiff penalty because it seems to me that Stern, who takes his last name a little too literally, would feel like Carmelo's suspension along w/ the other players suspensions didn't send enough of a message to the rest of the league to curb fighting.
