Lived in Madison for a year, then my family moved here to Davenport. moved to Iowa City for 4 yrs for undergrad degree, then moved to NYC for a job. Two years later moved back to IC for grad school, where I remained until late '98, when my wife got a job here in Davenport. Haven't lived overseas, but have visited 22 foreign countries( I was never in the military) and I'm only 38 yrs old...

I can truthfully reply with fine Western accent "Laramie, Wyoming"--and inquiry stops right there and they always wave me thru.
