you may be right, haven't seen the pitching matchups, other than clemens vs. woods. i am disappointed in the way the yanks are playing. they seem listless. since i am a positive person & tend to try to look at the good things, they are missing two good hitters(williams & johnson) & are still in first place.

good to see you posting

First of all less than 5% of baseball players make it to the bank let alone have a bulging bank account. The fact that you would penalize a human being because he/she makes more than you is a joke. You have no idea what some players endure in their lives before they finally get MAYBE five years of good money. I guarantee you ate a hell of a lot better than Sammy for a very long time during your life, hypocrite.

Well....you successfully put words in my mouth on about 5 different occasions in the context of your reply. If that makes you feel like youre making a better point....then go right ahead. Sure doesnt help the validity any....but go right ahead. I wont even bother with the name calling stuff, that speaks for itself.

I said nothing about penalizing a human being because he makes more than I do. I stated that a person in any position knows what the consequences are of being caught cheating long before they decide to do so. If they get caught.....they know theres a price of a specific magnitude to pay. Why dont you go ahead and argue that point instead of making one up on your own.

"but you don't have a problem with the people from Enron or Worldcom keeping all their money or Darryl Strawberry, or any other number of people in other walks of life that commit far worse crimes that have a much greater affect on society than a damn game tying single."

Again.....never said this. I said there is a price to pay in many different levels of cheating in society....and people in those respective levels know what the price to pay is before they decide to cheat. Baseball is a high-profile professsion, thus, the stakes are high. If ya dont like those stakes, get the hell out of the game and go sell movie tickets.

"Don't tell me you know anything about the game because if you did you would never make a statement like you did, you know nothing about baseball and the tribulations of a player trying to make it in the bigs. Hypocrite. "

Look, I dont have a problem with your abundantly sympathetic tone when it comes to the life of a baseball player. I dont share the same outlook, but I won't result to calling you names either. Everybody makes choices in this life; Some decide to be baseball players, some dont. I actually did play in High School and College....but I didnt expect anyone to have a pity party for me when I wasnt designated to a AA affiliate. Those who do make it to the bigs know very well what kind of watchful eye they're under, and what that watchful eye will do to them if they f*ck up.
