I just call them that because of the $$$ invested in them and its like the 'Goliath' of the league and teams like Fla or TB or even Philly are the little 'David'.... I dont hate NYY. I just think they SHOULD be sooo much better based on their production each year. This year, they got their money's worth... (fans, owners, and investors of new Stadium)... Last few years, not so much. Could you imagine Fla or TB having that kind of money and how they would do???

i think he's calling them the BIG BAD EMPIRE because alot of people outside of New York call them that, or the "EVIL EMPIRE"
Yea the yanks have it and spend it. The Yes network brings in a lot of money too. That will never happen down here. Not enough fans down here to support a team like the Yankee fans do
