Pat Buchanan was on the Imus show today and he mentioned something about a Gay Mafia in the republican party. I googled this topic and was surprised to see some of the high ranking Republicans names come up. There are some very close to this President. Bush had his arms around Foley , Pat did say that everyone knows what everyone does in Washington, so it's funny to see who is close to this right wing President. It all makes more sense to me the mess these guys have us in. We have to many self loathing people helping create policy for our country. The far right of the republican party has in the light of day distanced it self from the gay community but there are some that feel the gay mafia may be running the party. Google this topic, very interesting. DEVELOPING !

I'm a firm believer that personal beliefs and public policy should often diverge.

More than anything, it disturbs me that people feel they have a right to get into people's personal lives. The more people have to worry about their personal space being invaded if they run for office, the greater the chance that competent leaders will decide to avoid public office.

I don't know if that is possible. If someone has to worry about what some may find about about them they are not mentally fit to run. I want my politicians to put it all out there for all to see and be a strong confident person in who he or she is no matter what their race, religion, sex, or sexual orientation is. I agree that we should not invade personal lives but if a person tries to portray they are someone that they are not, then they are deceiving the public.

I agree, he is not a right winger by any textbook but, he is the leader of what the right wing has become. He is a part time ,pandering right winger. The republican party ,has let down the fiscally responsible wing of our party. My bubble is safe thanks. How's yours ?

My God there is ! Ted Haggard has been with and advised this President Bush. He is a firm supporter and has been credited with rallying evangelicals behind Bush in the 2004 election. I point this out only to point out the hypocrisy and the deception. This is just another example of people having a hand in policy that are not true to themselves and what they say they believe. There is no foundation , no moral ground, from where this administrations policy comes from. Forget about what would Jesus say about the far right, What would Rush Limbaugh say if the same thing came out about the left in the last few months.

Do you see what I mean ? Do you think it is fine for a person who makes policy to portray themselves as someone they are not ? Personal beliefs and policy can not diverge, if there is strength behind the policy.

what?...what policy?....he`s against gay marriage?....more than half the country agrees with him(and i could care less)...

what?...you are concerned that bush may have a gay friend or confidant?.....

maybe he should publish a list of all his gay acquaintances?.....you know,bryanz....come clean?.....

your concern that bush may be associating with these..."people"(uggghh)... is a moving display of sincerity and humility......

this is profound!...

those close to bryanz should watch closely for signs of stigmata...

I love you man, I will respond to this later. I'm laughing out loud. I just want to take this time to thank you and everyone here for being here. The one thing that we have common @ this site is, we care and I hope the willingness to do something about it. We might not agree on how to get there but guys like us will make a difference. As long as we stay engaged, we have a chance. This is a great time and place for most of us, I feel fortunate to be able to have the luxury of posting my rants while the world goes by. I hope all that read this will think about their fortune : life, health, family, love, freedom to think, freedom to be, freedom that others live and die for every single day. Enjoy, laugh , cry, live and let live. At the end of the day it all ends the same way for all of us. What will they say about" US" ? I say, who cares. Let them tell us now. Engage them !!!!

I agree that we should not invade personal lives but if a person tries to portray they are someone that they are not, then they are deceiving the public.

Romans 7:18-19: "For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my
flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not.
For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do
not want."

Every Christian believes he is a sinner, that he falls short of what his ethics instruct him to be.

Pointing out Haggard is a hypocrite is thus to point out he is a Christian.

Non-believing liberals reject these (especially Evangelical Christian) notions and that's why they go crazy when a preacher gets caught, and even more crazy when his flock forgives him. They just don't get it. Don't have to believe to get it. They get it when it comes to understanding Mooslim's beliefs.

Also, Haggard "knows" what he did was wrong, and this infuriates liberals even more as they don't think any of these gay behaviors are wrong.

but all this homo talk might just excite the homophobe!

J Abnorm Psychol. 1996 Aug;105(3):440-5.
"Is homophobia associated with homosexual arousal?"

Adams HE, Wright LW Jr, Lohr BA.

Department of Psychology, University of Georgia, Athens 30602-3013, USA.

The authors investigated the role of homosexual arousal in exclusively heterosexual men who admitted negative affect toward homosexual individuals. Participants consisted of a group of homophobic men (n = 35) and a group of nonhomophobic men (n = 29); they were assigned to groups on the basis of their scores on the Index of Homophobia (W. W. Hudson & W. A. Ricketts, 1980). The men were exposed to sexually explicit erotic stimuli consisting of heterosexual, male homosexual, and lesbian videotapes, and changes in penile circumference were monitored. They also completed an Aggression Questionnaire (A. H. Buss & M. Perry, 1992). Both groups exhibited increases in penile circumference to the heterosexual and female homosexual videos. Only the homophobic men showed an increase in penile erection to male homosexual stimuli. The groups did not differ in aggression. Homophobia is apparently associated with homosexual arousal that the homophobic individual is either unaware of or denies.

I don't think anyone cares if the guy is gay or not. But here is a guy with more money than God and he wants us to believe that he called a gay prostitute for a massage. Why not just go to the finest legit massage place and get his massage? No one would care. It's the lies. Funny thing is that Republicans care about the Lies when they are about a married man getting a bj. They see harm in lies about that but they don't see harm when a man of the cloth lies about a gay massage.
