Is there a law that 5 SEC teams have to be Top 10?

I could care less about the whole conference debate, superiority, but it seems there are always 5 SEC teams in the Top 10

Bama. 4- no issue at all
UGA 5- a tad high but still top 10
FL. 7-not top 10 worthy
LSU. 8- too low, yet FL beat me
A&m. 9-beat bama and now top 10

After yesterday, fl should have dropped and the aggies should be 11-14.

if the season started right now, and the young johnny football had a a feel for the game like he does, i wouldnt think they would lose..

their D is tops in country....way undervalued....

I think AM is deserving of a top 6 position....i think they are that good...

SEC team loses they drop 3 spots but any other conference has a loss they drop 8...It's a big joke.

that because they never play anyone ooc and every team is considered "great" prior to conf play...then when they lose, it's to another top team.

the cycle continues......i see about 6-7 garbage teams in that conference who would be garbage teams in every other conf....but, it's a quality win to beat them

You both nailed it! But I love watching SEC football.....the top of half of their conf. is great but like you said it's hard to get away from this problem when a team like Miss. St. plays nobody in their first 7 games then lose 3 in a row.......well you get the point!

Understand your point
but in defense of Miss St (something I never thought I would say)
they did lose on the road at Alabama and LSU
with Tx A&M between them

pretty tough 3 game stretch for any team this year don't you think?

When you have a rep of winning like 7 consecutive nat'l championships you get a lil break...Plus year in year out they are the best conference but let's not get into that....

Well u know what i think...Oh wait i'm not getting into that :)

2 things I learned long ago covering CFB. One, reputation/how the media spins your conference goes a long way in determining your pre-season ranking, therefore setting you up nicely later in the season! Two, the Heisman Trophy is a popularity contest.......doesnt always go to the best player!

SEC doesn't get a little break......a mid-sized break lol but its all good. Reputation does do alot for a conf.

It is what it is....Like Tiger Woods..If he didn't have the rep of being the best would he get all of the appearance $$ he gets? Gotta love being top dog but that is coming to a end..Doubt if you will EVER again see a conference as dominant as the SEC has been...In the future it will be spread around equally I believe...

Can't argue what u just said..A shame that's how it is...I have never been a fan of Heisman and probably never will be...Always has been the popularity like u said. Phoniest award in sports in my opinion.

But if you win it, you have a job for life in CFB........that is 100% fact.....that Heisman fraternity is soooo well taken care of!:)

I hope it gets spread around but we shall see....I had made a point awhile back to a friend and not sure if u agree but it's just my opinion...I said Nick Saban didn't all of a sudden become a better coach the last few years..When he was at Mich st. he never won anything..Always had a solid team but that was it...To me it's easier to get better recruits down south overall than it is her up north where it's colder and they play a different style of ball...
