Is there some reason Philly won't obliterate the Skins?

From espn:
"Philadelphia has won all nine of its conference games by double digits, winning by an average of 19.4 points. They have won their four NFC East games by an average of 21.2 points. "
From Fox:
"Philadelphia improved to 11-1 SU and 9-3 ATS with last week's 47-17 dismantling of the visiting Packers. The Eagles, who have won and covered four straight since losing at Pittsburgh five weeks ago, scored a 28-6 home win and cover against the Redskins on November 21. They've covered seven of the last eight meetings in Washington, and are on spread runs of 8-0 in division play and 16-4 in division road games."
This looks like an ATM machine to me, but then again I thought the NE game was too... :banghead:

Very interesting situation in the game between Philadelphia and Washington. Philadelphia has clearly established itself as the team to beat in the NFC as the Eagles have rolled over it's most recent opponents and opened up a two game lead for home field advantage ahead of an inconsistent Atlanta team with just four games to play. Even if the Eagles stumble, they are likely to hold their advantage as the remaining division leaders are struggling to stay above .500. The Eagles certainly look well on their way to representing the NFC in the Superbowl. Meanwhile, quietly, Washington continues to put up good defensive numbers and are showing some signs of life offensively. True that the Eagles beat these same Redskins a few weeks back 28-6 and since appear to perhaps have gotten better, particularly looking sharp last week in beating Green Bay 47-17. But therein lies the problem. Belief here is that the Eagles were very motivated and focused for the incoming Packers led by Brett Favre and on a winning streak and took advantage of a mediocre Packer defense and were able to quickly get the upper hand and role to a easy victory. At the same time the Redskins played a very good Pittsburgh team on the road losing 7-16 and then beating the Giants last week 31-7. Not surprised to see as the Washington season has progressed, the Joe Gibbs coached Redskins beginning to put some of the pieces together. Have to wonder, just how much focus this Eagles team will have against the Redskins after beating them handily in the first game and rolling over the Packers last week, plus having a comfortable lead for home field advantage. Meanwhile, would expect the Redskins to be fired up and emotionally high waiting for the conference's best team to arrive and playing following being embarrassed in the first meeting. The game being on national television in prime time helps as well. No doubt, that fundamentally the Eagles are the better team, but that being said, in the NFL, if the team does not come with it's full level of intensity on the road, they are vulnerable to a motivated divisional home underdog that is improving.

As said above

The Eagles faced two matador defences and today may be a slight shock if they aren't totally into the game. Thinking Washington can keep it close enough if the hold on to the ball. Eagles constantly getting 2+ freebies a game. Washington has given it up once over the last two.

Sometimes it really is that easy and you can't be gun-shy or be too intellectual or as Bush would say big-brained or over-thinking. At this time of the season people get gun-shy about games that seem too easy. At any rate never bet the farm.

sorry i was against ya, but only because the skins should of covered the first time they played in philly. The score did not represent the two blown calls, one by replay that wash got screwed on when they awarded the eagles a first down at the 49 when the runner was out at the 47. It gave philly a first down and they went on to score and add another on a turnover by the skins q.b. So if i had'nt watched that game i to would have thought the same thing everybody else did. Good luck next time bud.

Those 3 blow at least one player EVERY game. I sat there last night....and kept hearing Patrick and McGuire say "Donovan McNabb is so strong.....he's just so strong......look at how strong he is.........Hey Joe....did you know Donovan McNabb is really strong?"

Once with it....okay.....but then you look like a homo when you keep saying it.

I honestly would donate 50 dollars if they'd bring back Pat Summerall to the booth. And then get rid of MgGuire.....his banter with Theisman got old 6 or 7 years ago.

lol...how about it. every play is 'unbelieveable' or 'fantastic'. MaGuire sucks big time. when washington scored that second td, all 3 of them were still kissing ass with the eagles. Than at the end of the game, they are saying what a gutsy performance by Jevon Kearse. give me a break, he was out what a few plays or something. Theisman i think would be a bit better if those 2 bozo's weren't around.
