Um, well with Detroit dropping their last two you would think they sack up and get a W here and I would have a hard time backing the Bluejackets at NJ so you look good, unfortunatly I have learnt the hard way about big chalk in the NHL.
Good Luck, it sure looks solid enough.

I think most serious handicappers in here would agree that parlays in any sport are sucker bets..........not to say they can't be had but you will find that the majority of the time you will get burned. the one you have posted has a good of chance as any........that is why they call it gambling..............good luck with your play;)

I like the play  but like yourself, I'm not a PUCK CAPPER!

I was doing some reading up for tonite's card though and NJ has dominated FLA for the most part, and have yet to win at home. You gotta think the Defending Champs will want to finally win one for the fans. This is also the case with ANAHEIM tonite vs Flyers. They finally got a W last nite in SAN JOSE, so maybe both finalists from last year finally win at home, though I wouldn't throw the DUCKS into the mix.

Detroit hasn't lost to COLUMBUS since Feb 8, '02 going 5-0-1 during that span. DET is unbeaten at home, facing a poor road team and are very much in need of a win after two straight losses. I have to think DET gets the W tonite after letting PITT come back from a 3-1 deficit to win 4-3 and then being ouplayed by MONT until the third period in their last game. They did play much better late vs MONT, outshooting hte HABS 9-2 in the third, but were not able to get the tying goal.

With all that being said, I'll probably be joining you on this one as I was looking at doing the very same thing. Too much juice laying them both straight. Even if you split, you still lose a unit, and to lose 4 units if you get swept! No thank you... :nono: too many backdoor ties in NHL to lay that kinda wood. :nutkick I see you played the moneyline, but I'm taking the chance they both win tonite, so here's my ticket:

Wager type : Parlay

Select #1 : NHL Hockey
New Jersey Devils 10/22/2003 7:35:01 PM - EST
Spread -? -200 for Game
Select #2 : NHL Hockey
Detroit Red Wings 10/22/2003 7:35:01 PM - EST
Spread -? -220 for Game
Amount : Risking 100.00 To Win 118.18 USD

Good luck tonite!! LET's hit this one! :hitit:

Me too TRADE... I love FREE MONEY! or the chance at it. I do the same thing quite often. PLAY a PARLAY early to late, or even SAT to SUN so give me that freedom. Particularly NFL where lines are so tight normally. I'll parlay SUN to MNF and then maybe tease the other side if need be. I may just do what you said since I do like NJ and DET tonite, and my top play being VANC. If my early plays win, I can par to the M/L and take back STL + 1/2 + money.

Good idea... thanks! :D

I play more singles than parlays but the money is so tempting and like you guys said you can also hedge. I have 4 single plays tonight and 2 parlays.

St.L/Van O 5.5 -103
Stars -.5 -155
VT FH -7

2.5/12.2

Columbus +1.5 -135
Stars -.5
2/3.7

My single plays are
Stars -.5 -154
VT FH -7 -120
St.L/Van O 5.5 +102
Columbus+1.5 -128

I am still looking at the Ducks tonight. I think they will go on a winning streak and they will # 2 tonight.

GL to everyone!!
