This generation? The last 30 years?

I dont even like the Big 10, but all I know is Tressel's team is well prepared and almost ALWAYS outcoaches the other team..including Miami (bad) in 2002 and Notre Dame just last year.

I know he has big talent, but that is part of the deal. Not to mention having a class program as you dont hear about violence off the field and such with Ohio State...AKA the anti-Miami.

Pete Carroll is without a doubt the best HC in football.

He continues to dominate college football replacing great players and replacing coaching staff. YEAR after YEAR! Tressel has not accomplished the same as Carroll and Carroll has done more in shorter time.

USC in a rebuilding year is #3 in the BCS despite playing one of the toughest schedules in the country. Oh yeah, USC also has had MAJOR injuries all season long.

Lets see if Ohio St. next year will be #3 in the BCS.

USC also plays tougher schedules than OSU and OSU doesn't play many road games.

After 2008/2009 Carroll will be 2-0 against Tressel. (unless USC meets OSU in BCS NC this year)

Maybe you can argue college, but to say in all of football is laughable.

I would definitely say Treseel is the best right now. What Stoops has done is pretty amazing as well, all things considered. I would put those two above the rest, other than maybe Spurrier, but we'll see what he can do at SoCar.

Since you can see into the future scott, I cant argue with you.

That is amazing you know SC will best OSU.

If they meet in the national championship this year, I dont know what will happen in the game, but OSU will be favored going in, Ill tell you that.

I think it is obvious I meant college football. Can't compare CFB to NFL. Not fair comparison. BTW, I think Tressell is top 5 HC. Just not better than Carroll.

In 2008/2009 USC will have nothing but 4 and 5 star talent. Carroll gets more 5-star talent every recruiting class than any other team in CFB. BY WIDE MARGIN! By 2008/2009, that will be 7-8 straight recruiting classes for Pete Carroll. This is prob. the last rebuilding year for USC as long as PC is HC. :scared It is scary what is happening at USC with PC. The guy is a relentless recruiter.

NO $HIT OHIO ST. WILL BE FAVORED OVER USC! USC is in a rebuilding year. I would favor OSU too!

Love the check list. Maybe under more to come will be having a .500 record in the NFL.

All seriousness he seems like a high energy coach and would be a fun guy to play for. But for as much as the USC fan base loves him, he was laughed out of town in NY.

!

I know its tough to believe Scott, but other teams have went through dynasys like USC...it would be logical to think that once you start winning like USC has, the recruiting comes and it's a never ending cycle...but it doesnt work like that.

Injuries happen. Off the field incidents happen. Coaches retire. Other teams get good in the area, where recruits want more playing time. You just don't know.

Well, people that can't see into the future like you dont know, anyway :nono:

Agree with all of this. Only guy in his league is Mack Brown at the recruiting game. And for these reasons, that's why I think some guys are better pure coaches. When it comes to schemes, game prep and adjustments, I'd take Tressel.

Just my opinion.

Not true. USC last year got 3 of the top 10 high school RB's in the country. This years recruiting class USC has 2 verbals from the top 5 RB's in the country and might add 1 more. Last 2 years, USC might get 6 top 10 high school RB's in the country. This is happening at all positions at USC.

2 years ago USC got 3 of the top 5 LB's in the country. This recruiting class USC got the #1 LB in the country and more to come.

By 2008/2009, USC will be LOADED. Doesn't matter who leaves for NFL, who gets injured. 4 and 5-star talent on the 3-deep. No CFB team will have the talent USC has based on recruiting rankings. Everything I am saying is based on factual data on scout.com or rivals.com.

I think this years USC team only has 4 seniors on the 2-deep! :scared (YES 2-DEEP)

This will be the last rebuilding year for Pete Carroll. :scared

This is why he is the best HC in CFB!
