but,we`re on an early season roll...so....
1)skinnys pick.....perfecrt set-up....everybody`s on the saints bandwagon for eeking out a win at home vs the dreaded powerhouse buccaneers....an amazing accomplishment(sic)...
flashy team from high profile city....vs a blue collar team built in joe gibbs` image....
skins can be tough at home...their power running game can be very difficult to stop(portis/betts/rock cartwright)and tampa made some hay last week with their pedestrian running game vs n.o....
..the skins defense is solid returning fred smoot(who may shadow reggie bush all over the field) and shawn springs to their secondary....
check their depth chart...this is a fairly deep team...
the rub?....jason "fricking" campbell....i expect him to utilize that ground game,eat up clock and pick his spots to throw to dangerous smurf wideouts antwan randle -el and santana moss and underrated t.e. chris cooley.......
no colston for new orleans...thats good news...playing on a slower natural grass surface....i think thats a big plus for redskin-style football...no brandon jacobs this week(the guy reminds me of earl campbell)...
home opener..all we gotta do is get the "w"...
2)gotta take the colts coming off a home loss....just have to....vs a team with an extremely weak secondary(see last years stats)....they made aaron rodgers look like dan fouts last week.....so based on week 1,i didn`t see much improvement...
fast indoor surface....i expect the colts to be thoroughly focused here...i think they thought they`d throw their jocks out there in week one and walk away with an easy "w"....
obviously peterson is the wild card...i say stack the box and MAKE jackson beat you....
if the colts can somewhat nullify peterson,i`ll take manning vs jackson and that ugly secondary in a shoot-out...
always thought the colts` focus was better on the road than at home....
