I think Italy let themselves and their countrymen down, not you because you bet on them. They cost YOU huge? What about the hopes of every person with Italian ties. Don't take betting so personally, if you aren't willing to lose don't bet.

I care less about the fans....but the fact they gave up a goal in the last few minutes of play? Just terrible....I can accept a loss...but this one I just cant believe.

This is the most amazing World Cup ever  . Condolences to the many Italian supporters in this forum. Italy have a had a couple of harsh calls in this tournament. Am pleased though for all the millions of Koreans fans on what must be their greatest ever sporting achievement. I haven't seen celebrations like that since France won the WC.

Italy had four goals disallowed at this tournament  surely a record...not that they matter now, except that they would have given them an easier opponent in the 2nd round.

That diving call was pretty hard...it was a clean tackle but you can actually fall when tackled without trying to cheat, ref should have just let it go.

This game was full of dives on both sides. Christ that is the one thing I cant stand about soccer, stand up and TAKE IT LIKE A MAN! Diving is such an absurd part of this game. Hockey, football, basketball etc, you see acting but not on this level. And I dont want to hear how it hurts to get cleated. Drew Bledsoe got popped in Game 2 this season, and had a sheared vessel spewing blood into his body cavity. Not only did he not stay down, he tried to finish off the series of plays! Enough is enough.

That being said, it was clear from the way Italy played and substituted they were happy with a 1-nill lead. They stopped attacking for the most part and were content to hang on 1-0. While I did not bet on the game, I am always happy to see an underdog go through.

You have to give Korea all the credit in the world, even when they thought they were out of it, they never gave up.

All I have to say is that I thought the 2nd yellow on Totti was a tad harsh...

Congrats to the Koreans...

I wish them much success and the good thing about this WC is that the Asian market is getting much exposure to the game which is making FIFA happy due to the $$$$$$ they are making.
