Canada is a great, free country, that's all the reason those dogs need to attack it. Also agree that my experiences in Canada tell me that the great majority of Canadians like Americans.

I find it so interesting to hear non-Quebec Canadians comment on Quebec natives. Much more vehemence there than our little North vs South bickering.

ummm let's put it this way.........how do ya think Americans would react if say Texas had a vote to separate

and yes so true what djv said.most Americans have no idea just how much Canada does trade with the US....US and Canada trade more then any other two countries in the world.......and were not just talking maple syrup ya know.

HUGE amounts of water and oil goes from Canada to the US.....

oh and one quick stat for those of you living in Arizona......30% of the water you use comes from Canada :)

GW do not hate Bush, do not follow American politics to closely; unless it concerns an issue on trade between the countries. In most cases blame some people in congress on the trade problems. however hopefully presidents/prime ministers in the future can support trade between the nations.

Chretien did some good work in his 30+ years of elected office, however he stayed around a couple of years to long.

1. he never passed the leadership on to Paul Martin quickly enough, causing hatred between the Martin and Chretian camps.
2. his last budget he brought in was spending spending and more spending. a small tax cut would have been nice and more money to the municipalities.
3. he should have kept his mouth shut and controlled his staff. Many prime ministers of Canada and US cannot get along; however you should not publicized the fact.

DJV anyplace could be a target. correct heard an author last night stating that Cdn. does not realize the threat.

never realized we ship so much water to the US, maybe a future election issue.

in Alberta there is a farmer who has a cattle ranch on the border. His US neighbour also a cattle farmer have reported to Washingiton and Ottawa that people are breaking the fence and going across at night.

not sure into Canada or the US, or if they are smuggling anything. 15 border officials on the cdn. side and one helicopter are not enough for such a large area.

security could be improved by listening to these people and hiring maybe 50 more border (custom agents) on the Cdn. side.
the US could probably do the same thing.

finally IO where I live you can get snow storms in April, not to many Mexicans want to live in a region like that; and on those cold winter days when it is -53C (-40F=-40C) cannot say I blame them. LOL

thanks

There will be more Americans in about 10 years coming to live in Canada. If we dont do something about our south border. I dont think most Americans understand were being invaded with out a shot even be fired. Bush and his gang want to make it even easier for that to happen. Bush should just invite all of them to live on his ranch. And thank god for Canada's stand on the environment. My wonderful country keeps getting sold down the river to special interest groups. There always enough money to worry and find oil. All you here is the end is near. But never enough to find other soloutions. Why becasue those lobbiest have the money to burn in Wash D C to get what they want. In LV they keep building knowing the water supply is getting to be a hugh problem. Ask Fletcher. But that stops no one. We either keep our air clean save some energy. Or the second coming of whom ever may be 100 years sooner then was scheduled. Gas mask companies could be doing agreat business in another 100 years.
