like most when the lines came out on todays games I liked the favorites - patriots and panthers - but after a couple of weeks reflection I've turned around on both games. the patriot game gave me the most problems. if the pats are a 3 pt favorite in Denver, then they would be a 6 pt fav on a neutral field? a 9 pt fav in Foxboro?? also, all week long the money has poured in on the pats, in the neighborhood of 68%-78%, depending on whose numbers you're watching. yet no hook at most books. wee, I'm pretty sure the hook is coming today (at least) and, when it does, I'm getting down. besides, the thought of roger godell handing tom brady the superbowl trophy is too big a mindfuck for me to visualize.

same scenario in the panthers game, though I hate to say it. 65%-70% of money coming in on the panthers but no hook. if the panthers don't keep pressure on palmer I don't think their secondary will hold up. so again, I know the hook is coming today and i'll be down when it does.

Denver +3-
Arizona +3-

no bet without the hook (but they're coming). I like Denver under 45 if it moves off of 44-, where my book stands right now.

Pretty much agree with you on all of this. I felt as you did all week, then switched sides in my thinking in both games yesterday. Haven't decided for sure yet but if either of these goes with a hook I'll definitely jump. I think.
