I've got pneumonia!

SixFive, I'll be 34 in October. My mom was a little younger when she died, I think. Sunday night, they started me on an injection blood thinner (stings like hell) and Coumadin. I have another chest x-ray scheduled for Wednesday morning. Hopefully it'll show the clots have dissipated and surgery won't be required! I have not heard anyone mention surgery yet.

I hope you don't have to have surgery. I'm not a great resource on clotting disorders, but I think people are usually diagnosed earlier in their life. My friend was diagnosed when she was in college and has been on Coumadin for years. Her first problem was also a Pulmonary Embolism. Keep us updated, and I hope you recover fast. It sucks being in the hospital, doesn't it?

It does suck being in the hospital! First time I've ever had to stay overnight, and I'm here for at least a week!

Wow, just read this. You can look at it two ways, 1. It sucks that I am stuck here or 2. Thankfully they found out what was going on. If you would of kept waiting, you may not be here today. Hope all works out well for you. Looks like you are on the right coarse for treatment
