Been watching Iverson here in Philly for years and all this crap about him being a ball hog is just that crap. When you draft like these nitwits did and now these same clowns are telling me they are gonna rebuild, you just have to sit and laugh. When you can play the game iverson will pass it to you. He hasn't had one player the whole time he has been here. Not one point guard at all and please don't tell me about Eric Snow. When he played point he never had a two guard worth a shit. This kid dies for his team every single night and Denver got the steal of the century. The fans in Dever will fall in love with right away. Go watch him in allstar games passing the ball, setting guys up. Not once did he ever have a guy to pass to that could play consistent basketball. What he did every game is pass the ball around and then when this didn't work and they were quickly down by 15 he took over. When Webber was hot which is like one out of eight games he keeps feeding him. He always looks for Korver but Korver is a streak shooter. Man i hope Martin gets healthy and they all can play together. Denver got a steal and we got a bunch of stiff. All this talk about Miller is hilarious. He is such an average player. Joe smith please. Two first rounders for these nitwits to pick with? Oh brother lets hope and prey the kid from Ohio State is sitting there when we have our lottery pick.

Nene, Martin, Camby, Boykins, Evans

Christmas come Early for us nugget fans :SIB

I am slightly excited

Mark my words bro, you and every one in Denver will fall in love with his game. Not sure how your attendance is there but he will eventually pack the house every single night. In this day and age of the lazy athlete you will never see him dog it.

GREAAAAAT! Now I get to watch the Sixers fawk up 3 1st round picks.

Hope AI commits to his new team, " We talk'in bout practice " :mj07:

Gags they are talking about good things to come LMFAO. Now this talk about Larry Brown. He is the one that started this to begin with with his bad drafts. Now they are consulting him? the guy who let paul pierce go? As good is my witness When the drafted Salmon i emailed all the sports writers and said Tayshun Prince will be sitting there and this is a no brainer. They all laughed at me. So Brown draft John Stinkin Salmons. Pierce a three year college player couldn't have been an easier pick but Brown pulled a power play and took Hughes when Delio wanted Pierce. I don't want that asshole anywhere near this team. They need to let Delio do the drafting and every one get out of the way.

nice article spurs. I will say this he rarely plays much defense but he makes up for it with steals. His off the ball defense is a big part of his game. He will create havoc and now he will have confidence to throw it to someone. I have to laugh. this writer lives in LA and he knows what kind of clown our GM is but the owner doesn't. this clown actually stood up today and said good things are to come. He is the worst talent evaluator i have seen since the last clown who did it in the barkley era..

Everyones Prediction on how far they go?

Everyones Prediction on how far they go?

Seems like first round loss to whichever team hosts them (SA, PHO, UTAH, or DAL) to me

Am I way off? Do you think they can beat Jazz in division and get 2 or 3 seed?

Or is it just a time will tell deal?

Looks like no Iverson tonite for the Denver Thuggets.

After thinking about it a bit, I don't think the chemistry will be there for them to advance far into the playoffs until next year. Plus next year they will get Kenyon Martin back and that will be a huge bonus.

The West is deep. in the beginning of the year i said if Amare is healthy this was the team to beat. Spurs are good and to me Dallas is a joke. They have so many overrated players. Watching those finals was brutal with two teams that were not that good. Dallas is going no where this year. they got some great help from the refs last year and that won't happen again. That was the most brutal finals to watch. Thank goodness Wade was in it because i would have fallen asleep every game. They can beat Dallas and Utah but it wont be easy. The Suns and the spurs are a different story.

one of my favorite players ever since he got in the league, and I agree with your post. The guttiest, toughest, played with more injuries player in the league. I think he's one of the top 5 little guys of all time if not the best ever 6'/under.

Dallas is a joke? Wow. What a ridiculous statement. The team getting the help was the Heat, with all the phantom fouls called for Wade against the Mavs. That singlehandedly changed the course of the Finals.

Top three in the west are clearly Dallas, Spurs and Phoenix. Utah is a year or two away, but could make some noise in the playoffs. Denver has a ton of talent, but the "type" of players they have will lead to limited success, if any, and it won't happen this year. Carmelo, AI, George Karl and K-Mart? Can't wait to watch those "characters" next year, should be a hoot.

chemistry, whats that?

sincerely,

Antoine walker and jason williams 06 champs.

:mj07: :mj07:

It will remain to be seen, but I think the lineup is great for the Nuggets. Defense may be horrible, but it's not like Andre Miller was a great defensive point guard or anything...Ivy averages more steals per game and about 1.5 less assists, but that's because who was he going to throw the ball to in Philly? Double team him and he'll dish to Melo or Nene or JR Smith or Camby or Martin - or you can double team Melo and let AI take over. After all, if the Heat can win a championship with a bunch of old worn out players with virtually no team chemistry, I'm pretty sure this younger more talented roster can have a pretty good chance. You know AI wants it more than anyone on the team, and Melo surely wants it before Lebron gets his...

Yes, it will certainly be a "hoot" to watch these guys. I would get season tickets if I wasn't on my way out of the state. Yesterday the Nuggets sold 340 season tickets...I go see Philly every year and there are always tons of AI jerseys out here - we have great fans at the Pepsi Center and it is just going to get better.

Yes i also said the heat were a joke. Dallas gets nowhere without help from officials against Pheonix. Dallas is an above average team and that is it. Boris Diaw was dominating so all the sudden everytime he touch someone it was a foul. They the refs took him right out of the series. This team will not get anywhere close to where they got last year. As for Heat someone should find out what Chauncey Billups was told to do in that series. Dribbling the ball down slowly waiting for shaq to get down low was almost comical. Even the announcers said it fifty times but he kept doing it. Why was he doing this? Maybe the nba gods wanted Shaq and Wade in the finals? That series was one of the worst finals i ever witness. Just flat out bad basketball and if it wasn't for Wade it would have been awful. Sure wade gets the calls just like Dirk does.

I don't remember the refs shutting down Diaw...but I don't disagree with the premise that officiating pretty much determines the outcome. The finals last year proved that once and for all. The league wanted Wade to win a championship and they helped engineer it. If the game is close, calls at the end determine the outcome. FYI, I'm not a Dallas homer, I just live here. My team is the Jazz.

No disrespect intended toward your team. My point is that yes, they will have a lot of talent, but they also have very volatile personalities. It will interesting to see how it plays out.

Oh they shut him down alright. Dallas had no answer for him. Dallas is full of average players and until Cuban finds a way to get rid of Stackhouse they will never win. I also think Dirk is a bit overated. Yes he is good but not a superstar. He has been surrounded his whole carreer with talent. I love to see him on a team with no talent like Iverson or Garnet and see what he would do. two years ago Mcgrady just shut him down completely in the playoffs and Dirk bitched and bitched and bitched. when a good defender is on him he gets shut down and starts his crying for fouls. He is a very good player but superstar i don't thingk so. I also think Houston might be better than Denver.

I don't think Dallas' title hopes are contingent upon Stackhouse. He's not even a main cog in their offense. As long as he's not touching the ball in the last two minutes, they'll be fine. Disagree with Dirk being overrated, he's really upped his game the last year or two. What would he do without good talent around him? Probably be a great player with crap teammates, just like Iverson and Garnett. Houston has the talent, but I doubt they'll ever be injury free enough to make something happen. Looks like McGrady's back is going to be on ongoing issue...How you can call Dallas' team average players is beyond me. They are a very deep team with considerable talent.

i shouldn't care about this but.. you are wrong about dallas. Dallas is DANGEROUS, except they are soft when exposed. Miami exposed them. Want to know why Miami Beat them, no it wasn't the refs , it was because once Miami got physical ,Dallas started to play passive and start shooting terribly.

dallas a bunch of average players?

jason terry = above average

josh howard = above average, and his stats are going up every year at the same playing time

stackhouse may be average in season but he was a spurs killer in that series. Without him Dallas would not have even won that series.

Oh and Dirk is not overrated.

2006 - finals apperance
2005 - conf. semi's
2004 - first round
2003 - Conf. finals (dirk got hurt in that series, who knows if he still played, the spurs were dangerous that year but dallas had a superb squad that year as well)
2002 - conf. semi's

not a terrible resume if you ask me
