I was a little surprised to see a locked thread below on a topic that I had wanted to ask about. It was a pay for stats site I used for 5 weeks last year and really wanted to know what people thought about it, how it worked out etc. It was recommended to me by Nolan whose opinion I hold very highly yet it was locked by Jack and deemed to be advertising. I didnt see it that way at all.
People talk in here all the time - by name - about the touts they follow. There are always threads during the season about which sheet you follow, is Northcoast or Gold Sheet or Jim Feists Sheet better. Why is it OK to talk about pay for picks places, that are much more closely related to your business model then a site that specializes in statistics? Northcoast has a business model much closer to yours, if either of them really is, but they are mentioned and their plays posted in here all the time. There are even threads posted specifically listing plays from a variety of touts. So why can some sites be named and talked about/reviewed but others cant even though they are basically in the same business. Its not like people are mentioning other sports forums by name.
I genuinely wanted to know about this particular site and having been around for two years I think you both know I dont shill for anyone. Are they a former advertiser here that no longer does business with you? If someone has screwed you in the past I would want to know as no way in hell would they get my business. But I want to know because if I have questions on sites in the future I would like to know how to go about getting them answered.
