james gandolfini`s last movie...tom hardy kills it...the detective was excellent...the Chechen mobsters were perfect...a great reveal toward the end......really good movies don`t seem to come along quite as often these days but this one was excellent...

I enjoyed it. Was confused about Hardee's character up until the end. This is one of those movies you definitely have to pay attention to each word or you might miss a certain characters motivations. Good performance by Hardy, but I think I've seen him in better. Worth a look for sure. Incorporates sports betting quite a bit.

I thought leaving the question regarding "who left the plastic bag containing the severed arm and money" tied to the fence unanswered was a nice touch(and yes,i am the king of the run-on sentence:lol.... lots of speculation but there was no "definitive" answer.....could have been hardy(getting gandolfini "out of another jam")...could have been gandolfini(erasing any connections from the robbery to himself..most likely scenario)....or the chechens(although that makes the least sense,imo)...

the director didn`t rush it or "spice it up".....shows that solid suspense doesn`t need tons of violence or flash to make it`s point...casting was spot-on,imo...
