Are you concerned about the site getting a DOS attack like therx has had all weekend?

Please tell me that this won't happen here...

I was wondering the same thing. Do any of the computer-savvy members know what can be done to prevent something like this happening?

This site would only fall victim to a denial of service attack if someone wrote some sort of script or virus to automate an attack. If that happens, usually a simple IP address change on the web server the site is hosted on will thwart the attack. Of course, DNS records would have to be updated as well.

Well, I make it sound easy but that is what I do for a living. Also, DNS can take anywhere from 8 hours to 72 hours to fully update across the internet.
