I have it but rarely and I mean rarely use it. My stepson is the only reason I still pay the monthly fee. He uses it a lot. Not sure if you can see what's available if not signed on or not, have you tried? I know one thing, they don't have any movies that I want to see or haven't seen. Nothing there for me except TV series and I get those online for free using torrents. Sorry, not much help but there are many Netflix users here that can help, I'm sure.

BTW, I never got those pistachios. If I misunderstood about you sending, no biggie, I just don't want you to think I never thanked you and also be thinking one of my neighbors enjoyed them. Ugh!

no,you didn`t miss them...they`re coming...things have been a tad "complicated" of late...possibly first or second week of april...

sounds like Netflix is a waste of time...reason I asked is that premium cable seems to get practically no new movies anymore...and what they get sucks....looks like all these services get exclusive rights to movies and freeze the public out unless you`re willing to pay for practically everything.....

oh well,i guess that "progress".....thanks....

A lot of people here use Netflix and like it. It's good for TV series but not the newer ones.

I use Netflix every day or at least every other day. Thought you should hear from someone who actually likes movies.

They have piles of movies. I think you'll get good use out of it.

I'm sure I would use it but I prefer the other method that I use.

o.k....I`m funny about using credit cards online so I set up a card for online purchases only with a very small limit...old lady has to have her amazon...

maybe I`ll try the free one month thingee....was wondering how hard it would be to cancel if it sucked...but hell,it`s only around $10 per month,so theres not much risk involved...

thanks again guys......

You have to setup paypal if you're worried about using CC's online. If you ever have a problem with them you'll get your money back immediately. Paypal is a must have IMO.

I have Netflix and I love it. I have the plan where I can have two online streaming at one time along with one dvd shipped to the house. That way the kids can pick dvd's or stream on their Kindles, and I can watch online at work when I'm bored. I don't use it to watch current shows-just lots of movies and past series etc. My online and disc queues have a ton of selections and I definitely get my monies worth out of the plan I have.

is there some sort of limit to how many shows/movies you can watch per month?.....for example,i was looking at the mid-level plan that provides some hi def offerings(I think it was around $10 per month)....

is there some limit that I`m not aware of involved?...I`ve looked at some online tutorials but some things aren`t 100% clear...thanks in advance...

My plan is the 1 dvd shipped to the home ($7.99+tax) and 2 streaming with hd ($7.99 + tax) for a total of $16.46 per month.

I can get as many dvd's a month as I want- one at a time of course. If I get one in the mail and watch it that night I send it back the next day, and the day after that they will ship me a new one. Our Depot is in Harrisburg so our mail goes directly there everyday- so IF I'm fast enough I can do a turnaround in about 4 days. Sometimes 3 depending on if I get it back to the post office that day and they are still open. I am streaming right now at work and then one of my kids can stream at the same time at home. I have run into a problem where 2 kids are on it and I want on so one of them has to quit. (I'm such a mean mom). So as far as limitations I don't think there are any as to how many hours/movies a day/month you can watch etc. Some days I sit here all day at work then go home at night (usually when watching a series that I'm so engrossed in I can't tear myself away) and I have never been told that I'm overusing it or have met any type of limit. For $16 bucks I think I get a good deal because I use the online A LOT and I can usually pump out 6 dvds a month.

No Limits, you can watch as much as you want. As far as browsing their streaming collection I don't think there is a way if you aren't a member. However, for new members, the first 30 days are free (and there are never any commitments, you can cancel anytime).

I am like PAChicky in that I subscribe to both their streaming service (which as Jack says, has mostly TV shows/documentaries/SOME movies), AND I also subscribe to their DVD service, which I find fills in the gaps of their streaming service. Basically think of the streaming service as a rotating limited selection of shows/movies, whereas their DVD selection is basically every movie ever released on DVD. If I want to watch a movie that was JUST released on DVD, or some oddball old classic, I just order the DVD (it probably won?t be available for streaming). I have the 3 DVD plan, together with the streaming subscription ends up being about $25/per month. That means I can have 3 DVDs ?in home? at any given time. There aren?t late fees, and you don?t pay postage. When you are done with a movie you drop it in a pre-paid envelope, and when they receive it back, they automatically send you the next DVD on your ?list?.

I don?t feel comfortable pirating/downloading movies from the black market, so this is usually the only way to find a lot of movies I want to watch.
I suggest signing up for the free 30day trial of their streaming service, and if you encounter a lot of titles that are ?DVD Only?, and the cost/process in which they run their DVD service appeals to you, add that service as well. I?m a big fan of both. :0008
