WTF was Pitt thinking on their last 3rd down call? Or when they went for 2 from the 12 with 11 minutes left?

But really? A qb sweep on 3rd and 6 with 3 minutes left? Any chance you might throw the ball?
completely agree on both, pitt could have won but they were also lucky to cover

they should have been in it fromt eh start and not play from behind

Especially with a QB like they have..............

I won 20 bucks, pitchers of beer, and the pride of knowing I did the right thing.

Don't spend all your slurpee money in one place. Enjoy it while lasts.:00hour
ok enjoy your pitcher of beer and knowing you did the right thing

good night, sleep tight and bring kleenex

I was unfortunately on Pitt ML so def some sour grapes, but I have to know what they were thinking - can't believe they would let that BS decide their season after fighting all the way back

A quick bread and butter pass to Ward or Heath Miller get them in space let them make the play.....lifelong steeler fan, watched them make first downs all year with those kind of plays.....dont know what the hell that was tonight.....sigh.......oh well, cant win them all, but at least they covered.

A call like this on 1st or 2nd down would have been the thing to do and try to gain 7-10 yards especially when Jax was expecting a run........

You really have to wonder about that Timlin........

I would have had someone like Holmes returning that KO..........

Going for 2 from the 12 after a penalty is very questionable.........in fact if they just kick the XP there then they dont need to go for 2 later........

That last series by Pitt was the game killer..........you get the stop and then you run on 3 straight downs when you have a QB like Ben.......Why not put the GD game in his hands and let his at least pass the ball once........Davenport really never ran for shit all night...........

I'm glad you posted this cause I'm too damn pissed and tired to. I feel the same way, QB sneak on 3rd and long? WTF are they thinking? Might as well just punt on 3rd down next time. I don't know about you, but I want my offense out there at crunch time rather than the D. BTW, did ANYONE catch #92 Harrison getting held while Gerrard ran for 20 yds on 4th and 2... didnt think so. Tomlin definately sh!t the bed tonight.

I really like him as a head coach, like his style and all that, but I'll be scracthing my head about that play call all off season.....if you're gonna call for Ben to run, then spread the field and run the delay draw.....steeler fan here, like yourself, and we all know he can be a crafty runner, but a slow developing sweep, just gave him no chance.....all that said, a pass to hines or heath would have beeb a first down....we've been converting on those all season with passes to those guys!!!

Actually I would have liked to seen them call a play action on 2nd down, after the 5 yd gain on 1st. Perfect situation. Ben is definately a class act, just heard him blame himself for this loss and put it all on himself. A pro bowler playing with chumps for an offensive line.

Agree on all counts.....when they got the ball back, my first hought was that there was no way they were going to be able to run the ball to get a first.....Tomlin will learn from this, at least I hope.....Ben is a class act, i work with some Bengal fans who thinks he sucks, but I think they have watched so much bad football over the years, they would not know what good football is. Steeler football is in good hands with him as QB as far as I am concerned.

Ben had a MVP caliber year despite the fact that he was running for his life all season long behind that line!
