This line is up to 13.5 already @ BetEd. :scared

Is this really going to climb to over 2 TDs?

I am going to wait another day or two to hit this & see how high it goes in that time. I can only see it continuing to climb at this stage....

Seriously I mean all my hatred of NE aside....

14+ pts vs a really good Jax team? That is a bit much. They have the run game & D it takes to win. Not saying they are going to beat NE, but they could if they get some breaks....giving them 2 TDs or more that is a slap in the face, I dont care how good NE has been this year.

I am w/o question taking the Jags + 2 or more Tds.

I understand what your saying,up to 14.5 here.
All prob. take Pats for rooting interest. The end of that game against Steelers, they cant do that against Pats in any pt in game or they will get crushed.
There offense didnt really do much either(intercepion for TD,Drew kickoff return).
Thats why the lines quickly rising IMO.

GL this weekend.

HELL
Jax looks good on a 3 team tease at +23.5 :scared

From that thought, so does NE -3 or 3.5. If Jax gets off to a bad start and has to play catch-up they will get blown the "F" out. Coach B is too good to allow Jax just to run it down their throats and has made one-dimensional teams pay dearly. IMO, they can't set this line high enough. I want to root for Jax, but it will be NE or nothing for me. Good luck to all you guys.

NE has not dominated anybody since Pitt. They are old and worn down. Clearly not the same team they were in the beginning. NE will not be able to run on JAX at all. This will be a close game!

Funny that you say NE will not be able to run the ball at all. Jacksonville gives up 4.1 yards per carry. Jacksonville is very susceptible up the middle, giving up 701 of their 1451 total rush yards allowed on runs in the middle. The Steelers were unable to exploit this because Davenport was very indecisive in hitting th holes. I think you will see the Patriots come out and try to establish the run early.

I totally agree with the Jags' run game, but I'm not so sure about their defense. They got lit by Pit, N.O., and Indy. I'm also worried about Henderson's status coming into this game against the best offense in the league. Only severe weather can slow down the Pats. Of course, I'd still be willing to bet on the Jags getting that many points but that means I'd be relying heavily on their offense to keep up. I don't think the Jags D can even come close to slowing down Brady & Co.

One thing I pointed out in kniefs thread.
There Defensive schemes down the stretch have been vanilla. This isnt hearsay, living here this is a fact.

Jack. wont have much prep info on the defensive side cause of this reason.

that is exactly why the line went up. jax may play differently aginst NE, but they allowed a huge 4th comeback and 2 early td's were not on drives.

the keys obviously are no TO's and 150-180 yds rushing for jax.

a heavy wind and rain wouldn't hurt either.:mj07:

Weather here has been unbelievable here all week.
In the 60's yest and today in January!!

They will miss the rain(Jac.) by one day.
Calling for highs in the mid 40's and sunny Sat.
Emagine the 8 oclock kick-off will be ideal playing conditions, with no problems in the passing game .

pats will toss 60 passes and blow em out 42/10:scared

this may be closer to the truth than anyone wants to believe.

There is nothing in Jacksonville's favor here except 80 million football fans wanting to see N.E. lose.

Except maybe +14 in a game the Pats could give a rats ass about covering the spread.:SIB

Patriots get good news on the injury front

The New England Patriots got good news on the injury front Wednesday according to Boston.com.

Starting right tackle Nick Kaczur (foot), starting right guard Stephen Neal (shoulder), and tight end Kyle Brady (foot) all taking part in at least part of the team's full-pads practice inside Gillette Stadium. Running back Kyle Eckel (stomach) was the only player not present for the portion of practice open to the media, which included stretching and positional drills.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are known for their physical play, which will put an added emphasis on controlling the line of scrimmage in Saturday's playoff game, so the Patriots would naturally like to be at full strength on the offensive line.
