Need some room deals. They're crazy from what I am finding.

Needing something in or very near to the French Quarter for either weekend, Thursday for 4 or 5 nights.

was hoping for a full service hotel but maybe this is the way to go. i checked vrbo.com too. still, everything really high.

Rooms at Staybridge (never heard of it, but looks new and guest ratings are 4.7 out of 5 on expedia) is listed at less than 200 nightly. Jazz Fest and Mardi Gras Hotel proces are normally high. Prince Conti is normally 200 nightly, but listed at 400 nightly for Jazz Fest.

I discuss with my contacts locally to see if anything can be done in terms of a friends and family rate. Will let you know later this week.....
