Shes a really good car, no rust and low miles....Can't junk her just because she's had a couple issues....:SIB

You're not junking it, you're just selling it to someone who knows what the fuck they're doing.

Get a Wrangler, they never depreciate and when you need to resell, you get more money than you put in.

Just dropped it off at the shop....... And naturally no smell (though only 3 miles from the house)....:facepalm:

That happens to my customers all the time- they say it does it over and over and when they bring it in we can't get it to do it- It's like going to the dr. when you feel sick- you feel better once you get there.

plastic or rubber burning odor can be simply that one of those fucking plastic bags got caught under car and is burning !

They can wreak havoc on hot exhaust.

Also check every plastic wire covering any PCV hoses make sure they are not touching where they can melt.

I doubt very much that new brakes would smell i been doing my own brakes for decades never got smell from them on any car!

There has to be something caught on a hot engine part to cause burning or liquid leaking onto hot metal.
