While I do not agree with Monson's views, I appreciate the fact that he is well read and passionate.

Capitalism has not failed. Crony capitalism or whatever you want to call the system that the US currently uses, because it certainly is NOT capitalism, has failed. We are a country run and controlled by an elite oligarchy - whether it is a mystical banking cabal as some would argue or an out of touch elite political class does not matter. The real voice of the people is not represented well.

While I appreciate that fact that Monson has attempted to educate himself on these topics, I do not understand why people seem to think that athletes or celebrities views are important?

What makes a celebrity an authority on a certain social or political topic?

I don't. What strikes me as admirable about Monson is the fact that he displays characteristics unlike that of the stereotype.

And maybe, just maybe, what differentiates your ideals from that of true anarchists is merely semantics.

The problem then becomes who creates and enforces structure. Regardless of the system chosen, any type of hierarchy will only lead us back to where we are or what has always been.
