Sep 6 After being hobbled for nearly a month by a nagging hamstring injury, Porter reported no major problems after practicing with the Oakland Raiders on Monday and said he plans to be in the starting lineup for Thursday's season opener against the New England Patriots. The receiver, who will line up opposite offseason acquisition Randy Moss, had 64 catches for 998 yards and nine touchdowns in 16 games a year ago.
This is good news for Oak i think. There was a chance they would be starting the 4th string WR b/c of injuries to Curry and Gabriel. Now with Porter back in the mix, it should help take some pressure off of Moss
