JETS/EAGLES Over 36.5 - Now I will be the first to admit that this play flies against the grain, as both of these offenses have struggled this year and both defenses have played very well. However, this is a non-conference game, where teams are more likely to open up their offenses and not play as close to the vest as the more important conference games. The Eagles have illustrated this point nicely, as the Over is 5-1 in all their non-conference games since the start of last season, with an average combined total score of 46.9 points in those contests. As for the Jets, their offense has looked much better the last couple of weeks, and they will be spurred on in this contest by the expected return of Chad Pennington, the leading passer in the AFC last season. Now by no means am I predicting a wild shootout here, but I do project a final total of around 42 points, which would be more than enough to go Over this low total.
