I'm doing my capping research early this morning with the intent on making a pretty big play on the Titans as underdogs this week.
However after researching the game, I've come to the opinion that the Jets are capable of covering the small -3, so if I play the Titans at all it will have to be in a teaser with more points.
The Jets handed the Titans their first loss of the season in week #12 last year (with Brett Favre at QB) beating the Titans 34-13 in Tennessee? The Jets dominated that game from start to finish rolling up 28 first downs to the Titans 16, racking up 409 total yards to the Titans 281 (with 192 coming on the ground with DT Albert Haynesworth in the lineup) and controlling the time of possession to the tune of 40:30 to 19:30.
The Jets are arguably a better team this year because they have a much better coach in Rex Ryan and he has the team believing in itself.
Yes Brett Favre is gone and has been replaced by a rookie QB in Mark Sanchez, but the Titans defense really misses the big guy Albert Haynesworth in their lineup.
Plus, Rex Ryan is very familiar with the Titans and Jeff Fisher since the two met annually when Ryan was the DC in Baltimore.
I just had to post this since I scrolled the forum and saw quite a few cappers already on the Titans.
** Also I almost forgot to add that the Titans defense has not looked good, while the Jets defense has been stellar...plus...the Jets offensive line is one of the better units in the league.
