In the shadows
I don't know how many MJers were alive?

My Father was a Secret Service Agent for LBJ

Hi application was pending background check
On that day

My Father became an agent 5 weeks after this event
Some weird shit for sure especially at the ranch
He said at times they would walk into room and Scare the shit
Out of LBJ, not intentionally
They called him the Sheriff

He was on details tracking down Ayers
Assigned to Chief Justice Warren during the hearings

He worked with several agents that were on JFKs detail

He had some funny stories as well
Those can't be repeated

What, how would the US be different had this not happened?
How would we be different had Nixon won in 1960?

If JFK had not been shot, I don't believe Vietnam
Would have been a Long term war. I think he would
Have stepped up, but not escalated the action

I don't think RFK would have been shot, however
Given the time I'm not sure about MLK

Would Duff be hanging at the Haight had JFK not been
Shot? Hmmmm

Whether you believe in conspiracy theories or whatever,

the truth is JFK made a lot of enemies - many who wanted him dead for several reasons.

Here is a pretty good article about those groups he had angered.

Enjoy.

(Yes, Lumi - I think the world would have been a much different place if JFK had not been killed)

JFK had one advantage over any president who has been elected since:

He didn't owe anyone.

That left him free to do what he believed was best for his country.

Would he have always been correct? Of course not. He wasn't infallible, but he was a smart guy with lots of smart friends, and he would have been right most of the time.

And he feared no one. He backed the Russians down because THEY feared HIM. He knew it was high risk, but it had to be done, there and then.

Compare that to the pussies who have been elected since, all of them arrived at the White House with a long list of special interests they had to take care of.

An insignificant little turd with a grudge and a mail order rifle caused us great damage.

And I was there, in Mississippi, where students, lead by their teachers, stood and cheered. I'll never set foot in that cesspool state again.
