Mike Cameron sent a shot back up the middle, and it dropped him like a stone.

He was bleeding, but sitting up.......but he probably is going to need to be watched for a while.

The ball went all the way back to the backstop!

That was scary to say the least. The kid is a rookie, and all i could keep thinking was, "what if this is his only shot, what if he's different after this"

Terrible break.

Mike Cameron is one of the great guys in the game though, he was visibly shaken after it happened.

The number of times this happens in a season, it's really surprising pitchers aren't required to wear helmets. Getting hit in the head with a line-drive from 60ft away is infinitely more dangerous than getting pitched at.

I know wearing a batting helmet would be awkward, but something has to be done about this. Does someone have to end up in a coma, or dead, before changes occur? There are a lot of brilliant minds in the world. I'm sure they can develop something. It really shouldn't be that hard.
