A COVER,YES IT EQUALS A COVER BY THE NITTANY LIONS :mj14:

Game Notes......

Penn State?s showdown against previously undefeated Minnesota wasn?t even close. The pumped-up Nittany Lions scored on their first possession of the game and never looked back. Minnesota?s nationally top-ranked rushing attack was held to just 113 yards on 32 carries and Penn State churned out 539 yards of offense themselves in the 44-14 lambasting of the Maroon-and-Gold.

?I don?t want to get carried away,? said Lions? head coach Joe Paterno. ?We?ve got a long way to go.? You tell em Joe Pa

With games against Ohio State and Michigan on deck, Joe Pa is correct in being cautious. But this year?s Paterno is a changed man... gone is the confrontational attitude with the media and the skulking sideline demeanor. Winning will do that, as 5?0 Penn State is off to its best start since 2002 ? the Lions? only winning season in the past five years and the last time Paterno took his squad to a bowl game.

Now they get to square off against a rested and ready Ohio State, with the victor claiming at least a share of the Big Ten lead. Jim Tressel brings a defense to Happy Valley that is light years beyond anything the Lions have faced all season. The Buckeyes have yielded just 249 total yards, 41 rushing yards and 12.8 points per game ? holding Iowa to minus-nine yards on the ground. Penn State counters with a superb defense of its own and, despite having dropped the last three meetings in this series, the Lion offense has averaged 24.5 points per game vs. the Buckeyes at Beaver Stadium.

The should be a war...Joe Pa should be bouncing up and down the sidelines in his converse like the old days.I don`t know about a SU win for the lions, but i see them toughing it out and covering the spread as a home dog,in Primetime. :mj14:
86% of the public are on the buckeyes and the line has not budged it remains 3-3.5 depending on who you bet with.
So let`s go with the Nittany Lions and Joe Pa to play it tight under the lights. :mj14:

Hmmmmmmm.....last time Penn State was a home dog "under the lights" was in 2002. The corn got shelled 40-7..... :grins:
Furthermore.....with the horrific weather all day Saturday... the under should be considered as a possible play. Two pretty stout defenses in bad weather adds up to some low numbers usually.....

Vegas Baby !!
Good luck on your play, Train. Myself, I will stay away.

I think that OSU has the SPEED to make this game a runaway, but they don't always play focused, when Tressel led teams come off a bye.

Players had an easy week last week, as Justin Zwick and Devon Jordan were seen on the sidelines at last weeks Masillon Tiger vs Cleveland St Ignatius game.

JZ even said a few words to Tiger players at the half!
