Hammy,

I didn't keep track of a percentage earlier in the season. I keep track of a percentage now because I'm posting these plays for others to see. It's only fair that I do that. I haven't used this system for other sports. Maybe I'll use it for baseball and football. Will probably require some adjustments.

Jayhawk, I never saw any sharp money on Hawaii. It was a good old fashion, gradual increase in the line all day. Not trying to call you out, but I spend all day watching this stuff for a living and sometimes it actually helps.

If you wanted a big sharp play today, Alabama was probably the biggest of the day, hope you played it:

2/18/2006 11:34:52 AM Tennessee -1 112
2/18/2006 11:35:44 AM Alabama -1 -108

Nice work Wise, sorry to butt into your thread.

I just recently started going on a website that is frequented by a few guys around here. Hawaii was a documented "steam play," that evidently drove the line up from 9 (which of course made these guys winners).

You use a service, Wolf? Would you be willing to get my email from Jack? I'd like to pick your brain a little.

Vinny, I found one the sites... Acer69 was kind enough to pass it along... Not sure if it is the same one that you use, though...

Yes, I believe we do use the same one. I just recently found it after searching hard for it after he mentioned it. Glad you also found it.

Jayhawk Thor: Would you or one of the guys (wise and wiser, acer69, Vinny, kcwolf) be kind enough to email me what site you use for this line movement and explain to me your system. I'm curious to know how this system works if anyone is willing to share it. By the way, thanks to you guys this has been fun. I have managed to do be successful in bases in the past but never thought I could get anywhere with ncaa hoops. Thanks again to all.

I subscribe to a couple of line services, tpaine07. There were 12 sharp plays Saturday, two large moves: Alabama and Minnesota. The others:

Kansas State
North Texas
BYU
Auburn
Notre Dame
Butler
NC Ashville

Loyola Marymount
Richmond
San Jose St.

9-3 on the day, the last 3 were losses.

hey KC where can I get info on these line services?
thanks

No need for the emails.

MadJackSports has own live line service and its free:

http://www.bestbettor.com/livelines.php?AllGames=&AllBettable=1&SportID=5

If you see a game going yellow across the board and a jump of +/- of 1 or more within minutes --- especially bestlinesports , olympic and pinnacle at the same time then you know its steam.

clicking on the bracket [ . ] beside each game for each book will give you the line history.

such is the case with for example this morning with usc:

pinnacle:

and villanova,

steam moves are only as good as the number you get.. if you are not getting the same number as the groups 55-57 wins out of 100 games will likely be 49-51 games over the course of 100 games.

then there is the case of setups for bigger amounts the opposite way.

what he said

what he said

watch the moves and get a local with some stale numbers...keep 'em small and don't be greedy and you can last for a while.
