Just caught the end of an interview with this guy on Charlie Rose. Apparently he was the former ambassador to Iraq and has a wife in the CIA. Again I caught the end of it but it sounded like he said we went to war with Iraq based on false pretenses and that the White House blew the cover on his wife because he was not in favor of this invasion.

The tenor of the interview sounded like BushCo was orchestrating another character assasination of this guy. Don't want to say for sure but thats what I got out of this interview. He said he thought we would find some evidence of wmd, like old chemical stockpiles, but nothing that would reach the level of any real threat to US.

Interested if any of you on the right or left have any additional information on this guy and his story. Those of us in the middle are curious. Right AR.

I believe Joe Wilson was the ambassador of the Afican Nation that Iraq was said to have gotten weapons grade Plutonium. He called the Bush/Cheney on the carpet for the falsehood, and his wife was outed.

Dawgball, I have found that if I use humor, or as some may see it, attempt to use humor, I may be able to get you tunnel-visioned extremists on both sides of the political and social spectrum to become more centrist, reasonable, compassionate and yes, human.

Mr Wilson spent 4 years in Iraq maybe more. He talked with Saddam representing our country 3 maybe 4 times. He was ore leading Iraqie specilest. He also was a expert on affairs doing with nuke weapons getting in the wrong hands. He was sent to Africa to see if there was any truth to Plutonium being shipped to Iraq. He found out it was not true. He suggested in Bushs state of the union message that be dropped. They left it in. He got hot and told the world it was not true. A leak then comes form White house revealing his wife is a CIA under cover agent. She now is exposed and at great risk. Mr Bush said 9 months ago I want this cleared up now and those who did it will be fired. Nothing has been done for 9 months. Once again showing the power Bush does not have over his own people. If Bush wants this handle at once as he said. It's real easy. He calls in His lead white house dick or even Chief of Staff. All he has to say is I want the answer to who did this by 4:30 this afternoon. If not your fired. Now they need to start a grand jury hearing and cost us some money ust because someone has no balls.

djv, Slim & tossing are all correct, I wrote a thread couple days back on this as it all was on Dateline last week. The only thing they forgot was Wilson is a old Republican friend around Washington like Clarke who worked for Reagan & Bush. Actually negotiated for hostages in Iran. Just more proof these ass holes will eat their own if need be.
