Kansas City area for who knows how long....
Funny and nicely opinonated columnist in Las Vegas newspaper.

"Take the NFL's stance on sports betting. On the record, it's adamantly opposed to all forms of betting.

But on the Internet, the NFL barely conceals its betting jones.

Just for the howl of it, call up superbowl.com. The league's official Super Bowl site is sponsored by CBS.SportsLine.com, which offers a wide variety of stats and stories -- and if you search for "odds" or "point spread" you'll get enough connections to offshore bookmakers to make a self-respecting Mafia boss blush....."

Excellent columns! Thanks for sharing!

The mention of Kid Rock's halftime attire reminded me of how many times I heard it mentioned, without NFL rebuke, but even more interesting--and don't ask why I was watching the pregame ceremony, but there I was--reminded me of tonight's ProBowl pregame, featuring a "stylized" american flag as the field's centerpiece.

Now, I'm certainly not the only person to feel this way, but you shouldn't be bastardizing the flag during the National Anthem...especially if you seek to position yourself as the last bastion of good, clean, American Fun...yikes! Talk about your hypocrisy.

Was anyone else bothered by that, or am I just old-fashioned?
