The party was clearly not interested in McCain, he won the nomination by default.
And clearly nobody showed up to vote for him within the party.
Thanks to the economy and presumption that he was Bush v 2.0; Joe Liberman on the ticket wasn't changing the outcome no matter what that windbag McCain now believes.
Hell, I think Obama ran against Bush and Palin more than he ran against McCain.
