We moved, surprisingly, last weekend. The close went through even though our movers had to stop twice because of the buyer's lender and agent. My car will be totaled, my wife's car will probably be totaled(at least we can drive it), and I have to drop a grand on a house I no longer own. I have had to work from remote locations due to my internet not being hooked up until 14:30 yesterday.

Then, my eight year old boy has a decision to make during a game of dodgeball; get hit or take one for the team and dive into the corner of a door. He's a team player, so he proceeds to attempt to knock the door down. The problem was the angle - he went head first into the corner, which proved to be the wrong decision. I get a call from Wifey at 16:10 indicating that our son, who has had blond hair all his life, now had blood red hair and a gash above his right eye. At 16:40, Wifey calls and says the boy is getting stitches because the "glue" didn't work? GLUE? If they were using glue, why didn't she just use her glue gun at school and save the co-pay?
At 17:20, I had my first debriefing with the wounded. He told me that there were only two people left on his team and that he had to make a quick decision. We then discussed the decision and made the judgment that it was the correct decision, but perhaps a different angle towards the door should have been taken. After determining the weight of my son, the angle, and the fact that the door had been there for at least 50 years; he concurred with the decision.
As of 08:15 this morning, he is doing well. No pictures will be released at this time.
