This story has hit very close to home for me. Josh is from my hometown of Bloomington IL. I actually went to high school and ran track with his Uncle Roland. I've always been kept in the know on his progress. This has been devastating to him and his family. Jerry was his best friend. They lived together while both playing for the University of Illinois. Josh is the main reason that Jerry made the practice squad for Dallas.

They did everything together. Even shared family holidays together. Even though not blood related, they were like brothers.

This is a great Kid from a great family who has an addiction. It's too bad his best friend had to die in front of him while he was trying to pull him out of the burning vehicle. MAYBE now he wakes the fuck up and tames his demons.

I know I've gotten behind the wheel when I shouldn't have and I'm sure MANY members have as well. Good people from good families who have strong values. Just like Josh. That booze will take control of the best of us. Trust me, I know. My thoughts and prayers go out to both families and I thank God for getting me home on more than one occasion and not ruining my entire life.

That's why these incidents, and these sentiments, really mean nothing to people like that.

"Can't happen here!"
